Blood lab results are leaving me even more confused

For over a year I've been feeling really suckish and I decided I should get my blood checked because i was suspecting maybe a vitamin deficiency. I got my results today and my doctor told me I was completly fine. My liver, kidneys, thyroids, minerals, glucose was all great. I think he said my cholesterol was a little too low. I'm also not at all anemic. It's good to hear that I'm healthy but this only makes me more confused. I was honestly hoping that he could just tell me I'm defiencent in b12 and he could prescribe me shots and I could move on and be full of energy. But instead, I'm left with no answers. Why are my blood lab results so good even though I feel like poop?!

So here are my symtoms: -fatigue -mental fog -lightheaded -muscle spasms -headache -lost of interest in things I used to love (because I'm so tired) -tender muscles -hands and feet falling asleep -more forgetful -shortness of breath

Things you should know: -I did raw till 4 for two weeks until my mom cut me off because she thought I was eating too much. -I sleep too much (9-12 hrs a day) -before I tried rt4 I was eating only 1300-1600 cals and Im back to that again (I know this is bad) -I'm currently having a love hate relationship with water (dehydrated)

So can someone tell me what's wrong with me? Maybe one of you guys have been through similar situations?

Does your doctor know your vegan most doctors wont test b12 unless you tell them to. most go off the diet of the average population. And even then its not a concern because people eat meat "why test it"

For natural B12 supplement try brewer yeast flakes.

in Australia the doc gave me hydroxy cobolmin and its free the tablets did not do anything i have now stopped crashing in the afternoon and feel more stable will be receiving more shots soon . I was not deficient just on the low side 245

Every single one of those things happened to me on food allergies (gluten).  I was also cold all the time, especially my hands & feet.  Aside from calorie deprivation & dehydration, I would look into a possible food allergy or intolerance next.

I think getting less sleep might help. I've been sleeping 10 hours lately, when usually i sleep 9, and have been having similar simptoms of fatige and foggy head as well as headache.

The brain fog and fatigue is ridiculous and Im praying i can correct it. I hope we are both able to get over this!

Hey, Im going through a very similar situation right now. I have almost the EXACT same symptoms. I began hclfrv about 1.5 years ago and have progressively gotten worse to where now its at the point where im too fatigued and uninterested to carry out normal activities. I know its not due to me eating too few cals, I usually end up around 2700-3000 and eat a varied diet of fruit/veg/overts/seeds. Im 6'2" and 136lbs and have lost alot of muscle and strength. I used to weigh 157lbs and was very athletic. Ive gotten blood work multiple times and it looked great. B12 UMMA has been high until I started supplementing with a sublingual methyl b12 so i dont think thats an issue and vitamin D used to be around 27 at one point and then 36 after getting more sun and probably higher now. Im working with Don Bennett right now and the only thing I can think of is iodine deficiency

Sounds like eating and drinking more would help. It's not unusual to feel off if you've just changed your diet. You should also get a copy of your blood test results if you haven't already. Your doctor might be wrong about you not being anaemic or deficient - even if your values are within the target range they may still have fallen, ideally you need to compare to a previous blood test. With B12 you can get an 'intermediate' result on the basic total-B12 serum test and still be deficient. The 3 most common nutrition issues that require supplementation and can;t be solved by eating more are vitamin D, B12 and iodine.

Agreed that the most important thing you can focus on now is hydration.  You can live for weeks without food, and for many months+ with deficiencies, but you're dead in a few days without water.

Drink enough H20 to wee near clear 10-12x daily, starting now please.  

And those are close to starvation level cals.  If your mum won't pay for what you need, get a job to support yourself.  Your health comes before all outside opinions.  

what are your B-12 numbers?  If you're not deficient, I wouldn't worry about supping at this time. 

Though in the potential future, you might consider the methyl shots from www.trimnutrition.com
