30 Bananas a Day!

I am vegan, but in some situations it's hard. I was in grandparents. It was dinner time. There was nothing to eat. My grandma cooked pancakes, some potatoes and even rice, but they were with butter. Of course there were a lot of meats. I was so hungry so i ate pancakes and a little bit of rice. I feel so guilty. Everything was oily and fat. Now i have stomach ache. I think that i should prepare meals myself and take them.

It can be hard to deal with family gatherings. The best way to deal with it is to make a dish to contribute to the meal. I always make something delicious for everyone to enjoy to try and make them realize that this high carb vegan thing is not so bad.

It is ok :) I've been in similar situations myself and it is hard to say no to people when they have made a special effort to prepare something for you with love, mindful of veganism/vege though not quite there. Perhaps mention it at another time casually, re dairy or as you mentioned being prepared.  Can take a little time to navigate the social hurdles/ those random events. Forgive yourself and look forward to tomorrow. Maybe a L of distilled/ filtered water too to get the oil etc moving.
