30 Bananas a Day!

I have decided to become a runner. I am using an app on my phone, which is actually really cool. I have never used technology to track my progress before. I am now able to see my runs on a bar graph now. I go just a tiny bit farther each time i go out for a run! The difference is something i might not even notice, if not for the GPS tracking app. 

I am also very happy that i took a random turn down a wooded trail today on my run. I had to deal with some STEEP hills, but the trail went a lot farther than i would have thought looking at the trail head. I found a wooded trail, with elevation, that is 2 blocks from my house! And it goes back at least one mile! I love the feeling of running in nature SO MUCH more than running around on the asphalt roads in my neighborhood. There are some spots on the trail with a great view over a valley that just made me smile! 

The knee still hurts. It's amazing what the careless of one idiot can do. It's been over a year since the day i was riding home from work, on my bike, and some lady decided to run a stop sign. I have been in pain, every day since. I don't know if i will always have the pain, but i keep telling myself that it will heal fully eventually. It is better some days than others. 

Time to go eat. Hmmm, mango smoothie, or a big ol' salad...? Probably gonna be both....

Thanks for the kind words. I bought a book on yoga just a couple days ago, and i think it may help. I have only flipped through it so far, i have not done anything yet. I just moved, and have not found a job in my new area yet, but i was actually thinking of taking a yoga class once i can afford it.

You're making the best of challenging situation, Roc, and you keep moving forward.  That's the key.  

Have you by any chance looked into yoga, qi gong, or acupuncture for your knee?
