30 Bananas a Day!

1. Banana "cream" pie - This time 2 bananas blended with a plaintain and one banana cut up.
2. 3 small apples
3. 1 small apple
4. 2 mangoes
5. Grapefruit orange juice with celery and spinach. Big salad with broccoli, pepper, sunflower seeds, and sundried tomato pesto dressing (no fat). One date with brazil nut.
They say the first 2-3 days on these programs are often the toughest, so I'm past that. I think a challenge is to keep enough variety that I don't rebel against the salads. Not a big greens lover and it shows in my protein numbers.
Also working to include enough celery to make the sodium numbers. My cramp-inclined calves and feet are a little more antsy the last couple days, which I'm wondering may be related to the decline in sodium. I'm getting plenty of potassium!

Thanks so much, Jessica! Yes, I quickly started upping the greens in the smoothies to reduce the size of the salads. I've had them for years, but interestingly have never grown to like much more than about a handful with about 3 fruits as a ratio. I think I'm sensitive to bitter. I also forgot to mention that the banana recipe was based on one from Chris Kendall's 101 Simply Delicious Raw Recipes. I appreciate that your comment reminded me. I think you've hit the key with the need to be excited about the food and I am enjoying most of it.

Ah, the wondrous things you can make with bananas. Congratulations on getting past your hurdle! You are well on your way. I have heard of some people detoxing later in the plan just depending on what you are burning in fat and things being released within. If you have a hard time eating the salads, try putting some greens and fruit together in a smoothie. It might make it easier to go down. I have the hardest time eating a giant salad and I actually like greens. I have found that if I get excited about my food, it makes it all easier. (Yay! I bought these bananas for so cheap or man these are going to be great fresh from my garden.) It's the little things that make a difference.

Good job! Keep going strong!
