30 Bananas a Day!

30-day challenge to stay 100% LFRV - Part 2

On June 18 I started a 30-day challenge to stay 100% LFRV.

The first 8 days are listed here:

http://www.30bananasaday.com/profiles/blogs/30day-challenge-to-stay...

Here are days 9, 10, and 11:

Sunday, June 26

This was the first big challenge - out on a job during dinner time with food being served. I was able to stay raw in spite of some very enticing dishes. That part was good, but I still had problems as a result of eating too soon after the noon meal.

Breakfast: about 2kg cantaloupe

Lunch: 200g soaked dates blended with about 9 medium bananas

Dinner: juiced apple and celery,  followed by a large salad of romaine and cucumber with orange-tahini dressing

Monday, June 27

Breakfast: 1150g watermelon; 1130g honeydew

Lunch: 946g grapes; 711 mangos

Dinner: 1/2 grapefruit, followed by a salad of romaine, shredded zucchini, cucumber, with orange/tahini dressing

Total calories for the day: 2093; 5% protein, 86% carbs, 6% fat

Tuesaday, June 28

Breakfast: 1400g watermelon; 960g cantaloupe

Lunch: 100g soaked dates; 1257g bananas

Dinner: 1/2 grapefruit, followed by mangos and oranges blended spinach, cucumber; then a small salad of cucumber, zucchini, romaine and avocado

Total calories for the day: 2624; 6% protein, 89% carbs, 5% fat

Windlord - reading and rereading Richard Blackman's article has been a big help. If your mind has been indoctrinated with the truth about cooked food, then no matter how good it looks the inclination to eat it is diminished. Also, I made sure I had a couple of large fruit meals earlier in the day.

Jay - good luck and congratulations on hanging in there during a tough time of year.

Hey there! I started my own 30 day challenge on the 22nd of June. Lucky you having so many fruits to choose from - I'm going mainly on oranges and dates, with the odd banana due to prices here. Keep up the good work!

Flowing well, Mr. P.

Good job staying the course even with those wooing dishes.  What mental stategeries did you employ?
