30 Bananas a Day!

On Saturday I started a 30-day challenge to stay 100% LFRV. My problem is this: after doing 811 for 2.5 years, I can't tolerate any cooked food. The slightest indulgence in even the best cooked vegan food (rice, steamed veggies, etc.) gives me a terribly painful reaction. I get these intense pains in the intestines about 4 hours after the meal, and sometimes they keep me up most of the night. This must stop!

When I'm at home, everything is fine - easy to stay 100% raw. It's the social and work situations that cause problems, usually due to lack of proper planning. So I have written a plan of action for the next time I will eat a meal out, which boils down to bringing a cooler with plenty of fruit and a green smoothie.

Here are the first three days, which were easy since I was at home:

Saturday, June 18

Breakfast: about 2kg cantaloupe and honedew

Lunch: 180g soaked dates blended with about 9 medium bananas

Dinner: juiced swiss chard and celery blended with a mango, followed by a large salad of romaine and cucumber with orange-tahini dressing

Sunday, June 19

Breakfast: 1200g watermelon; 989g cantaloupe

Lunch: 337g grapes; 80g soaked dates; 938g bananas

Dinner: 1.5 mangos blended with an orange, spinach, cucumber and romaine, followed by a salad of romaine, shredded zucchini, tomato, and a few olives, with orange/avocado dressing

Total calories for the day: 2582; 6% protein, 88% carbs, 6% fat

Monday, June 20

Breakfast: 1 grapefruit, followed by 8 oranges blended with papaya

Lunch: 273g grapes; 150g soaked dates; 886g bananas

Dinner: 1/2 mango and 1 orange blended with swiss chard and celery juice, followed by a salad of cucumber, tomato, and okra

Total calories for the day: 2448; 5% protein, 91% carbs, 4% fat

Here’s what actually happens to food when it’s cooked

. . .

10). It takes more energy to digest cooked foods.

11). Compromises the immune system due to having to handle the amounts of toxins and toxic by-products.

Here’s what actually happens to food when it’s cooked

. . .

7). When eaten, waste material is created, which has a clogs up the body and messes up the natural eliminative processes of the body.

8). The enzymes in raw foods are destroyed at temperatures as low as 118 degrees Fahrenheit.

9). Eating enzyme dead food places a burden on other organs which eventually exhausts these organs.

ILG - I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. Thanks for your comment.

More from Richard's list:

Here’s what actually happens to food when it’s cooked

. . .

4). Up to 50% of the protein is coagulated. Much of this is rendered unusable.

5). The water content of the food is decreased. The natural structure of the water is also changed.

6). Toxic substances and cooked “byproducts” are created.

Recently someone posted a link to the following article by Richard Blackman:

Cooked Foods-The Real Weapons of Mass Destruction!

Here's a quote:

Here’s what actually happens to food when it’s cooked

1). The food’s life force is greatly depleted or destroyed.

2). The structure and nutrient makeup of the food is altered from its original state.

3). Nutrients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, etc.) are depleted, destroyed, and altered.

keep up the awesome practice Peter!

i know how social and work situations can be challanging...

just went out to a restaurant with friends at an indian restaurant and

really enjoyed the congregation, was already full from a big salad that

i ate earlier thus wasn't the least bit interested in what was placed on the table...
