30BAD Challenge - Day 29 - Skin Detox and better sleep

I missed posting my progress past two weeks, I was travelling and finishing up finals, which went really well. Let's just say, that although I had to deal with some eating struggles while travelling, I fully expect to continue this lifestyle beyond the 30-day challenge, because it's just so easy. I believe everyone's experience and body is different, and for me I had to make little adjustments to make this work for me. The main was to stop eating myself into uncomfortable fullness, I know eating enough is important, but so is listening to your body, I mean that's what this is all about, right? Either way my stomach is still stretching which is nice for the carbed up dinners. So let's just do some pro's and con's


-my sleep has almost completely fixed itself, which has done wonders for my mood and productivity. 

-Mental clarity continues to improve - proof in how well my finals went compared to the rest of the semester

-My attitude is positive without much effort

-I'm much more chatty, which is a big difference for me, I'm the shy quiet type

-I'm a little bit slimmer


-Still gassy, but not as bad

-Skin is detoxing (i think) because I've never had acne like I do right now - my skin detoxing is a good thing of course

-Difficulty eating with non-vegan family members/friends - but for the most part everyone was very accommodating

-Going to the grocery store once a week/week and a half is annoying

Overall Im super pleased and very excited to talk to family about the benefits of going raw. I've been cooking a lot which I love to do but never did because cooking for one is tough, but I just love making soups! I've also had a blast trying new fruits and veggies, unfortunately I do not have a taste for jack fruit OR durian, which was very, very disappointing. I'm hoping to make some "baked" goods as i finally got my hands on some cacao powder and oat flour. I'll keep posting updates throughout my journey, because that past 29 days have been really fantastic and awesome and super delicious!

My measurements changes:

Waist= -2in

Hips= -0.5in

thigh= -1in

arms= no change

Chest= -1in
