After 8 months doing raw til 4, I decided to switch to an all raw diet on November 1 and, so far, I'm really loving the switch. I thought I'd use this blog to track some of the changes that I've seen so far.
-Much clearer skin. I had cleared up the worst of my acne on raw til 4, but I'm happy to see that the rest of it is finally healing up on all raw. My face is also more even, less red, and less dry.
-No bloating whatsoever. I wake up with a much flatter stomach than before. It also flattens out much quicker after meals.
-Amazing digestion. I feel extremely light. I'm easily having 3-5 bowel movements per day. On Raw til 4, I would generally only have one, sometimes two.
-My workouts are easier than ever. I'm flying through exercises that were previously a challenge.
-My sleep is deeper. I do not wake up in the middle of the night any longer.
-I crave more overt fats. I was eating 5% fat on raw til 4, but now I generally end up between 8-12%. One day I hit 15%.
-I've had a lot of menstrual spotting since the morning of day 3. I don't normally experience this. I don't know what is causing this.
-I have a lot of food sensitivities to things like tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, spices, etc and so I've found it hard to find dinner options besides fruit meals. I can see this becoming boring eventually.
And that's what I have noticed so far. I am planning to do at least 2 months and then make a decision from there. I'm really loving it, though. I thought I felt good doing raw til 4, but I feel twice as good now. I'm hoping this feeling lasts :)
