Is it necessary to space meals 4-5 hours apart on this lifestyle as I have read on other raw vegan sites to help avoid triggering cortisol production? Or does this work itself out over time as the body adapts?

I'm having hard time getting in enough calories in one meal. Datorade is about the only thing that comes close, but I worry I am overdoing it and have been trying to get more variety.
Unless it is fat, you really only need to space your meals 2-3 hrs apart, but you should be making sure you are getting significant calories in your meals. I only eat two big meals a day, so, for example, my breakfast would be 10-15 banana smoothie or 2.5 honeydew melons or 1 whole watermelon. My lunch/dinner would either be a fruit based meal of say banana ice cream with date sauce or a huge salad with mango, tomatoes, zucchini pasta etc. and then my last "meal" is typically a fruit juice like pineapple juice or OJ. So my first two meals I aim to get 1000-1200 calories and then my last meal is between 500-900. You don't want to overlap your meals too much bc you want them to be able to actually digest so you can get the carbs/minerals/nutrients from your food. If you are eating constantly your digestive system never takes a break and you will be piling meal on top of meal without any breather- hence why it is so important to eat decent calorie meals.
I eat every hour. But I eat a little. Simply because if I space out my meals so long, I will be so tired due to lack of calories. I never heard that, either.
