We were interviewed on ABC news at the Chicago Marathon.
Vicky always wants to talk about eating fruit at every chance she gets. It was comical when I gave her a nudge to tone it down, as I knew she was going to go into making comments that wouldn't get us on the air.
The clip is very funny, worth watching I think. Fast forward to about 2 min. and 15 seconds to see a 50 second clip on us.
I think if you want to talk about fruitarianism or a diet that is very high in… Continue
The NJ Marathon has 3 races combined in one. A marathon, 1/2 marathon and marathon rely.
Total there are over 10,000. runners! This is a big crowd!
The scene at the start is massive, it's like a major city marathon with a sea of people.
With so many runners it's very exciting to do well.
Yet since they don't offer prize money no super elite professional runners usually do it.
It's still competitive and usually the winner has to run close to 2:30 to win.… Continue
I really honestly don't like to brag, and I mean it when I say I am posting this for the purposes of disproving the naysayers about my fruitarian diet...but when you win a marathon, ultra marathon or middle distance race just about every weekend for months on end, people got to know about it ... especially when I eat nothing but fruit!
I ran the boston marathon on monday in 2:28, then ran 13 miles on tuesday, then 16 on wed, then 25 on mt. trails on thur, then friday took it easy only ran… Continue
Yup, I ran 100km in 7 hours and 27 minutes - ONLY eating oranges/OJ juice.
That is an average per mile pace of 7:12.
Do you want to know what it feels like to run 60 miles, and then run the last 2.2 miles at a pace of 6:30 per mile? How is that possible to run for 7 1/2 hours with zero rest and still be able to run fast... the answer: Fruitarianism
I'm running the Western States 100mile endurance run in California (Lake Tahoe/Auburn) in late June 2010. I am going to train hard for this race and will be looking to place high. I am in need of some hard core athlete's/runners who live in the area who could crew me in this race. I am looking for people that know about 811 fuel and what goes into crewing an ultra runner who is hell bent on pushing the limits.
If you don't know what crewing is, this is not the race to learn about it, I'm… Continue

Race Report: The JFK 50 Mile Ultra Marathon (Boonsboro, MD) November 21, 2009
This is undoubtedly one of the greatest athletic performances of my life! Over 1000 people do this each year, it is highly highly competitive. Yet I came in 2nd overall this year, yet more importantly and more shockingly – my time today was the 4th fastest time in the races 47 year history – yes that is correct, only 3… Continue
