Another annual water-only maintenance fast

Short one, only 22 days--have learned that in 22 days my body maintains high metabolism, very high energy, so I will not have to work at kicking it up after--just maintaining healthy exercise.

This year I do not have the menu of ills, aches and pains of previous years, so hopefully more progressive healing. I also get to come down and do the refeeding thing in South Bay of L.A. Where the largest, best overall selection of raw organic fruit and vegetable in the world is easily and… Continue

I spent 5 days in an FLDS community

This summer, I spent 5 days in an FLDS community (NOT the one run by Warren Jeff's, my ex next door neighbor). It blew my mind, and put me in a position to scrap 90% of what I thought I "knew' about the fringe religions of Mormon. I am extremely well traveled, have stayed with many cultures (like Massai, Fundamentalist Muslim), but this one is a highlight of my life.

I am not of any religion. Definitely not Mormon. Very definitely not Polygamist, though a lot of my friends are from… Continue

View on Jesus diet

This is an observation, not a strongly held belief of mine...I do not want to have a religious debate in my blog area, though I will welcome comments...and critism of my interpretations only if the poster has actually read the sources I am commenting on.

Iif Jesus was raised by the Essene, and they were raw food devotès that also were forbidden to eat from below ground level (onion, ginger, garlic, carrot) that does not specify fruitarian. If they ate dairy, it follows that it was likely… Continue

My annual human flesh diet...

I am now more than halfway through my annual water only fast to deal with debilitating injuries of 30 years ago.

By having water only,

My body is living entirely off human flesh, fat and skin, and occasionally toxins when I do not cleanse the colon often enough to keep up with the need to eliminate...

This year has been especially powerful as I have added Bikram hot yoga daily with enemas directly after. No dizziness when I stand up, and though I try to limit my… Continue

Have started my annual water-only fast.

It will not be as long as last year (49 days), do not have the time before committments that will need my mtn climbing with a pack energy.

With new perspective, I now do not recommend long fasts (over 10 days) unless you have serious healing to do, and recommend a fasting coach for over 5 days, or over 10 days for the experienced…

Swimming!!!

For the first time in 38 years, I am lap swimming more than 3 miles, did 4 miles yesterday. 3000-3500 calories expended. Have not been swimming much in YEARS, started 2 months ago with a mile, then two. This week I bumped to 3 miles and 2 days later to 4. If the school swim team had not showed up and taken over the pool, I'd have gone for 5. Time is a factor, as I am a slow swimmer, takes me 45 minutes/mile (though my 3rd mile was a few faster, as it was in my youth, and the 4th mile was better… Continue

Lost my hair after my fast

I was devastated, and excited. It was 3 months after the 49 day water fast, was not expecting more changes (having a lot of positive things happen way after fast). I was in my car at a stoplight, did a quick scratch on my head, and my lap filled up with hair! I freaked, then noticed they were all grey. (my wife tells me I have 20% grey, I have considered it close to 50%) More fell out when I got home, and shower drain plugged up with more. It felt like I lost 60-75% in a 36 hour period. When my… Continue

Day 40 water only healing fast

This will be my last blog and update until my fast is over, I do not want to seem as if I'm encouraging others to follow in trying to do what I am doing without the years of research and experience that I have, and I do absolutely recommend a coach once you reach the 20 day level, after at least two years experience with shorter fasts.

I'll be commenting on my list of ailments that I'm trying to have healed, (severe spinal injuries from doing stunt work 30 years ago, and myriad of related… Continue

Day 35 Water Only (Healing) fast

This fast so far has been triple the ease of last years 25 day Water Only fast, and 10 times easier than I thought it would be...my original plans were to go out into the desert with inspirational, fasting and spiritual books, lottsa water for drinking, hygiene and enemas, camp out near seldom used hot springs, and soak, with occasional walks in solitude.

I'm staying at home, it's heavily snowing, (YES, today, 24 May we woke up to 6 inches in yard, and driveway and road down the mountain).… Continue

This endurance Water-only fast is different from those other years.

I'm on day 12, last year did 25 days. Last year could not get up quickly without 5 seconds of dizzy, this year, working physical job over 12 hours a day with no weakness at all.

Though it has occurred to me that on this program I am living on a "100% human flesh diet" (kinda gross, huh?).

I'm tracking, and have not lost any muscle. Last year, on the 25 day, I hiked at altitude (8,000-12,000 ft) 3-10 miles a day. One day I tried to hike straight up Snowbird ski mtn, that was too much,… Continue
