30 Bananas a Day!

Peter Berquist's Blog (7)

We can make a difference!

Back in January I wrote an article for a friend of mine's blog, in which I talked about how great the 80-10-10 diet is, and included links to Dr. Graham's website.

Last month someone read the article, checked out Dr. Graham's site, and now is planning on attending Health and Fitness week!

Several other people I know have been influenced to change or at least improve their diets…

30-day challenge to stay 100% LFRV - Part 4

On June 18 I started a 30-day challenge to stay 100% LFRV, and yesterday was 30 days.

The reason for this challenge is after doing 811 for 2.5 years, I can't tolerate cooked food at all anymore. It tastes great going down, but then there is a very severe reaction about 4 hours…

30-day challenge to stay 100% LFRV - Part 3

On June 18 I started a 30-day challenge to stay 100% LFRV.

My problem is this: after doing 811 for 2.5 years, I can't tolerate any cooked food. The slightest indulgence in even the best cooked vegan food (rice, steamed veggies, etc.) gives me a terribly painful reaction. I get these intense pains in the intestines about 4 hours after the meal, and sometimes they keep me up most of the night. This must stop!

When I'm at home, everything is fine - easy to stay 100% raw.…

Four months on 811!

My wife and I have now completed four months on 811, and after a few rough spots in the beginning, we are now deep in the groove of 811.

The benefits have included: increased energy, more mental clarity, improved musical performances, increased desire to exercise, calmer and deeper meditations.

As a professional free-lance musician, I've had some of my best performances since starting 811. This is a big deal, since it's a tough business, and you're only as good as your last… Continue

One month on 811!

Earlier this week I completed my first month on 811. There have been some ups and downs, but overall it's been positive. Thanks to everyone here for this supportive community!

For now, it's still a struggle to eat a sufficient volume of fruit to get the calories I need. However, it's better now than when I first started. Another challenge, as other people have mentioned, is having sufficient ripe fruit available each day. Even here in Georgia it's been cold and the bananas are not… Continue
