The Practice of Living Well

Well, it's been two months since I started to focus on regular exercise and strength training. The fact that it feels like much longer is a testament to my history of 'giving up'- that is, putting in a burst of energy to a new plan, and then letting it slide after an initial effort. My Sugar Addiction (Thank You Doug Graham)

My mom did the best she knew how to do in feeding our family- home-cooked was the norm and sweets were desserts, candy virtually unheard of. Getting off my butt!!

Well, September is here and the tourists have departed! I've started to really look forward to the fall now that I work in a place that is tourist-dependant. Work takes all of my energy, August has been intense. Coming home and sitting down is all I feel like doing. I'm suddenly noticing weight gain and lethargy! So up and doing some hill runs today to get started, and a walk before dinner. Tomorrow will be my first weight session, which I have been only thinking about for a couple of months…

The Beauty of Fruity Poetry- what really made my day

Just had to share this synchronicity, it really made me happy today!
