Hi, I’m new around here and I thought id share some info about myself so here it goes:
I had always been a small frame my whole life till I had children, I was never athletic but what I remember most about my childhood is that I loved to dance and ride my bike, my diet was sad, and I never really paid much attention to my health because I looked and felt great, after I had my kids I stopped dancing and biking because I felt…Continue

I just wanted to post a little reminder of how important vitamin D and getting sunshine is-especially in the winter. Last year I was in Norway living in one of the rainiest cities in Europe. I tried to get by without supplementing, hoping that my supposed fat stores would get me through just a few months. Wrong! I was out of there by this time last year because I was getting so sick and was definitely not happy! I started to have a lot of trouble digesting food and my bones were getting…Continue
I've recently discovered the root of my cravings for cooked foods.....salt!!!! I've tried steamed potatoes with raw tomato sauce and no salt because I thought I wanted cooked food. It tasted like chalk in my mouth!!! I put tons of herbs and garlic in the sauce but it really did nothing for me. Without salt, cooked food is not appealing. This makes me hopeful that soon the excess sodium will be out of my system and I'll be free of it!! Also, I realized that I crave salt around…Continue

I have been eating Raw for 2-3 weeks. I am not fond of exercising, I was in the summer more with my mountain bike but now I have just the treadmill with winter here in Alberta, Canada. So I'm just not feeling working out everyday. I do workout once a week not very long but just to keep it kind of consistent for me. I tend to be a perfectionist with everything so sometimes if I can't do it like a pro I have a tenendecy to not try at all. So needless to say that's why I go at least once a week…Continue
I just started moving towards the HCRV lifestyle about 2 months ago. My energy improved as well as my digestion, but I'm pretty broke. I live with my parents and we have food stamp (<$400/month) so it's hard to have enough fruit around the house. I'm the only one in my family that eats the fruit, but sometimes when I'm short on fruit I always end up convincing myself to have cooked vegetables and rice even though they do not satisfy me at all. And after eating the cooked foods, I get…Continue
I've been on 811 for 5 days now, and am having noticable weight gain...I've been focusing on eating enough fruit so that I'm consuming 2000 kcal/day, getting 9-10 hrs of sleep, and jogging 3 miles daily. However, I am definitely putting on weight and looking bloated...I really want to love this diet and want it to work, but fear that I'm going to continue to gain...any suggestions/help is super appreciated!
I am 3 weeks into this lifestyle (still transitioning from one cooked veggie meal), eating more than ever and finally bloat free! At age 43, I thought I was to 'old' to ever have a flat stomach again. Posting a workout video because this is so exciting to me. I suffered for over a year of digestion issues and incredible bloat. Fruit rocks!!! Ps. I kept watching Freelee's videos over and over and she speaks truth, with consistency you can achieve all your physical and health goals!
Wow, what a busy month...I can't believe November is almost over. I may have fallen off the bandwagon and eaten cooked foods after Halloween, but I'm cool with that. I don't need to beat myself up over food anymore. I'll just carb up on sugary yummy fruits and hope to stay raw. I've been working like everyday which has totally screwed up my workout schedule, but I'm in the proccess of getting it back on track. I'm still at the garden center at Lowes..and I'm learning tons about plants which…Continue

I want to keep track of this as I go through because I know there will be rough days. I'll be journaling some of this in my paper copy but this way I will have a place of reference to refer people to if I need help along this journey.
After emotionally eating on Thanksgiving I finally managed to come out of the flour/sugar hell I put myself into. I decided to try to eat 80-10-10 again because I seem to be addicted to every type of food but fruits and vegetables. I was doing a healthy…Continue

Hi Fruity Ladies

Here's a little rough draft of a song I have been working on. Hope you like it.
The dinner salad I made tonight was amazing! It is something that I never tried before. I went to Costco today and got a ton of fruit. I picked up some clementines and decided to put them into my dinner salad. They tasted amazing, here is the recipe, you have got to try it!
Cucumber Clementine Salad
1 Heart Romaine Lettuce
2 Cups Cherry Tomatoes
Chop romaine lettuce and slice…Continue
Just spent two days checking out the raw food scene in Tokyo finding the the hope and the glowing fresh juices under all the yakitori, takoyaki and other dishes was a challenge but a delightful one.
Had two three course meals consisting of a raw soup, main, and dessert and a drink.Planning on creating a page to share the info for others moving to Japan.
Then finished the weekend with a delightful potluck meeting other living food lovers.
This was a delight and met some…Continue

From December-March a few of our 811 roommates will be between Hawaii and Costa Rica. If you are in the position to move or maybe want a little get away, you are welcome to sublet one of their rooms! People who are steady on the diet and comfortable with it would be preferred, but if you have struggled, this might also be the extra motivation you need. We live in Austin and it is a great town, especially to escape harsh winters elsewhere! Send me a message on here or at firstname.lastname@example.org…Continue
