Quick Post- Healthy Day

Quick post just to say

Today was nice and I feel strong.

-I walked
-I ate only fruit, greens and some baked yams
-I was peaceful and relaxed
-cleaned my room/bathroom
-started drawing a portrait
-listened to The Power Of Now

Hopefully tomorrow I will even go without the yams, and do 100% raw!

Struggles

According to self-help lore, it takes 21 days to form a new habit. So, I'm really trying to get 100%lfrv under my belt. The last few days have been tough. Thanksgiving was easy because I planned something special, but the days after, somehow, were tough. I actually flipped a coin as to whether I would cheat or not... Trouble is, I would feel disgusting and also it would take me longer than I like to get back on track.

Finding My Courage Again Today

Wow. What a 24 hour period.



This Monday would of been 6 months sober, but last night, I relapsed. It hit me, that my romantic relationship is actually over for good. So today is Day 4 for me- I have to say today was much harder- eating the same foods is kind of getting old..I haven't made it to the store to pick up more avocados, romaine, grapes, etc. yet- right now I've been eating mostly organic apples, bananas, navel oranges, organic spinach, some tomatoes and pineapple. 3rd Day eating LFRV!

Eating LFRV has been going really well- the longer time goes by the easier that it gets :) The only problem that I have is that I can't eat that much fruit at one sitting- I just can't, I will get physically sick- so I'm trying to do what my body is telling me to do. Thanksgiving recap

I am lucky that with my family being on the other side of the ocean and my husband's family being Korean, Thanksgiving is not the big eating fest that it is for other people. Takes the pressure off a bit.

Thanksgiving 2009

I had a great thanksgiving today, there truly is so much to be thankful for. This morning I got up and ran a 5k race put on by the Sonoma County chapter of Organic Athlete. I had a good run and I got to see all my Organic Athlete friends. I'm still new to running and I usually do the 10k so I didn't totally pace myself right, but I ended up finishing at 21:36, which is a good time for me. Sorry family, and urges to leave town!!

I was planning on eating plain potatoes, green beans and rice during the Thanksgiving meal. But when I was in the kitchen, seeing the food just really turned me off. I didn't want plain, dry potatoes and I definitely didn't want to watch them eat turkey :( So, I just grabbed one of the smoothies I made before hand (made 3,000 calories worth upon waking) and went upstairs. 4 weeks raw!

Hi all! 4 weeks lfrv for me! Woohoo! (recap: started in May 2007, did 811 raw for 6 months, then ate cooked food sometimes - bad idea!) but started again Wed, Oct 28, 2009).

I'm eating 2,000+ lfrv 811 calories a day and lost a few lbs already. Love it! So, eating more fruit is really the key. Yes, Freelee, you are so right! LOL

My goal is 6 months, 1 year, forever, but we'll take it a month at a time!

gettin back in line...in time for thanksgiving lolol

Well I ate my thirty bananas, unfortunately a little too late as I drunk a soy mocha. 15 bananas while at work....got home, was concerned about what I would do all alone with nothing fun to do until the wife got home, so what do I do???? go to the coffee shop and play computer game LOL. Last day on persimmon island (sort of island...)

So, I think ... doh ... I was not eating enough fruit and I was not feeling good. Why are we all so skeptical about this always? Last night, a few hours after my last persimmon meal, I DEVOURED more grapes and watermelon and some tomato (with a bit of SALT... ack! I'm not going to be crazy about that at this point...) First Day!

Today is my first day of eating just fruits, I've been Raw Vegan before, so this shouldn't be too hard- it's all mind over matter. I weighed at my brothers house on Sunday and my weight was up to 144- everyone thinks I weigh about 130-I'm too embarassed to tell people how much I really weigh now. I didn't have weight issues until 2009 and now I gain weight if I just look at food.
