This is to reach my goals, for mental quietude and peace, and to cleanse.
In all realisticness, I might end up Intermittent fasting, between massive fruit eating, although I'd like to see if I can carry it on, going further into the cleanse.
I will make sure to drink more water this time.
*As a side note, I am always unpleased with the results of eating anything other than natural foods; fruits, cucumbers, etc. It leaves me fresh, clean, vital. With anything… Continue

That was reallly good!! I had 6 valencia oranges (so orange and so tasty) and 1 banana. I was so full afterwards.
The refreshing sweet thin living juices of oranges is probably the best thing I've ever had. I love good magenta-red grapes, they come close! But nothing tops the way oranges have me feeling.
They were so worth the 47 hour wait.
After playing with my 4 month old nephew today, I went back to campus to study, and I was feeling hungry. I think it was… Continue

Wow! I cannot believe I made it through yesterday without cheating. After a terrible night's sleep waking up every 1-2 hours with vivid dreams, sweating and anxious (hypoglycemia), then during the day, feeling irritable, extremely fatigued, sick with aches, pain, naseau, having sweats, then chills, and not to mention, strong cravings and being preoccupied with heavy cooked foods because I couldn't get satisfied off bananas (despite having eaten 25 + other foods, and no activity). Whew, it was a… Continue

I moved to S Florida a couple weeks ago and have been searching for a job. A few days ago I saw an ad in the paper for wellness coaches that were needed. I was excited because it's something that I'd love to do and the ad said 'earn $30,000 working part time.' Anyways, I go to the information session today and my excitement quickly disappeared. The company is associated with Herbalife supplements. So.... we would be required to start our clients on the supplements. That's really how we would… Continue

... are wanting to follow the changes I've already made. Such as sobriety, extremely improved diet, and increased exercise.
I really don't believe in the traditional American lifestyle. As I'm sure most of you do not either. :)
This is what I see around me (some of which I'm guilty of):
- watching t.v. most of your free time, long internet use, avoidance of outdoors, esp during rough Northern winters, fast food/processed food, wasting, shopping unecessarly, driving… Continue

Brain Clement warns against eating fruit and claims the Hippocrates diet is 5% protein and 5% fat. Now that is a lot of greens!

I wonder why people Generalize about other people due to their race color or religion without even giving a fair chance to that new person? Probably its the nature of human beings

I'm really awful at fasting but I'm going to pursue one.
People on youtube have been undergoing long ones, and I appreciate the discipline and resolve it takes to undergo a long one. I appreciate how it connects you with your survival instincts, and how you must heed it throughout its duration. People seem to come out a lot more self aware after a fast, and so I hope to come out with more awareness too.
Forgive me if I fail. I will try not to though.

So, on sunday I had set out to juice until friday or sat. Was all determined..thought I was ready. I had gone and gotten what I thought was enough fruits and veggies to juice and started my juicing journey. Today is the 4th day... and I have decided to break it. There are many reasons at the moment. For one I was not as ready as I thought. I didn't have any supplements, no enema bag, and not enough variety of stuff to juice. It is day 4 and I still haven't poo'd. This morning I was going to try… Continue

I remember him saying ‘hey but you only eat raw food don’t u?’ I was like ‘ Oh yeh um… occasionally I eat cooked food…’ & then & there I confirmed it to the universe… that cooked food was on the menu again..continue...

(Crisis #1 was the canker sore and muscle soreness from over-detoxing due to juicing)
Last week I had a guest. I had been juicing most of my food for the week before, eating mostly raw, but I had more cooked food than I knew was good for my progress when he was here. Yesterday I ate some rice and lentils, and then at night plantains and guacamole and too many nuts. I feel very heavy and bloated today. The upside to this story is the lesson I have learned: my body is sensitive to salt… Continue

Well.. It's been 10 or 11 days now since my last post.. Some things have changed!
My erratic sleep patterns seem to be adjusting for the better (yikes don't look at my local time, it's 1:!4am here!) I think this has been part dietary and part physical activity. I'm putting about an hour and a bit of hill climb intervals in on the bike every couple of days. About 5 days ago I just seemed to have so much more energy and I needed to burn it off so I jumped back on the bike and surprised… Continue

I need to hurry up and start reading. I have issues I need to resolve and I'm hoping to find answers. I've been 100% raw for 7 months and I've been low fat raw for a little over a month now and uncomfortable things are happening.
The reason I switched to low fat was because every time I ate any kind of fat like avocado, nuts or oils, my chest would get really tight and uncomfortable. I have no idea why. Even now, after a month on low fat, if I have a small amount of fat, my chest… Continue

Now before all you tropical dudes start dumping on me for living in Melbourne etc.... let me tell you that one of the good things is that you really experience seasons. I collapsed in a heap this winter; my first trying to be raw. Why? I under estimated how much comfort eating I do during winter.
Summer for me is easy. In Melbourne, the fruit begins to flow in terms of quality and affordability that isn't there in winter. My first affordable mango was 'only' $4. That's right you… Continue

I just recently had an outbreak of shingles, which is now on the mend thanks to good old momma sunshine!
Shingles is a virus that affects the nervous system then turns into a nasty rash. Very painful!
But thanks to a few days of baking in the warmth here in Melbourne, it is on the mend and looking better every day!
