New Video! The Truth Behind The Love What Arrises Teaching

Loving what arrises.

Loving your negative emotions. Your negative thoughts. Your self destructive behaviours. The things that do not go your way in life.

This sounds like a beautiful teaching, doesn't it?

But maybe it also sounds like the person who is able to do this also rides a unicorn to work, has literal angel wings on their back and can turn 1 loaf of organic…

Planting Greens for Fall garden

About a month ago, I planted lettuce, swiss chard, endive, carrots, radishes, peas, and arugula in the hugelkultur garden. Of course for the last month I have noticed foot prints, a rabbit droppings everywhere, and then finally I saw the peter cottontail running out of the garden the other day. So, I was wondering why all my plants were being eaten and the seeds were also being dug up.

Almost none of the thousand seeds I planted within the hugelkultur mounds have germinated and…

A Meditation For Dissatisfaction :)

It's meditation time, friend :)

In my last video, I shared with you how dissatisfaction can be your best friend.

We talked about how dissatisfaction can be the catalyst that drives you inside - rather than outside - so that you can truly discover what is next for you on your life path.

We talked about how dissatisfaction is really a signal that you have outgrown your current life, and are ready to step into something new, something fresh, something that carries you to…

A palty & disorganized day of food and adventure

Wow, so today was a crazy day food wise. And I would like to be better at knowing my body.  When I am hungry and when I am not.  It is still very hard for me.

This morning I had that bowl of muesli with fruit and rice milk but it was not filling enough.  The bananas I bought are very small, about the size of my hand.  I had another banana before I left and during my walk I had about 12 or so small dates.

I should have been drinking water, but these things are so difficult to do…

Vegan Restaurant Review: Rasayana Raw Food Cafe, Bangkok, Thailand.

If you’re a vegan or health foodie then you’ll absolutely love Rasayana Raw Food Café. I first heard of this delightful little restaurant when watching one of Freelee the Banana Girl’s YouTube videos – her video was even titled “The best fully raw restaurant in the world” so the bar had been set pretty high! Luckily, I wasn’t disappointed.

It was…

Tuesday: Elderly issues

Today I am with my parents to help with my dad's situation with the aftermath of a stroke.  They did an mri on the head and we will get the results from the radiologist today.  I run the gambit of high stresss, sadness, frustration over my dad's health situation.  I am doing my very ripe bananas smoothie of bananas/water/cinnamon.  I need my brain to be at its peak performance to deal with the next steps and help around the house.  I am praying for wisdom to do the…

Paris

Right now I am in Paris.  I am here alone for 5 more days.  I was supposed to be here for 3 months but I realized that I want to be home for my birthday, which is in exactly one week.

Tomorrow I will try to wake up early- record my day; what I did and what I eat.  A lot of people think its probably crazy to be in Paris and not try a croissant or patisserie or what not but I guess they don't realize how good fruit is and how great it makes you feel :)

There is supposed to be a…

Vegan Restaurant Review: Broccoli Revolution, Bangkok, Thailand.

So last week my girlfriends and I finally made time to check out Broccoli Revolution. This superbly named venue is an upmarket, strictly vegan restaurant which opened last month in Bangkok.

Broccoli Revolution advertises itself as a juice bar and thus the list of healthy, organic juices was pretty extensive, with 18 different juices on…

How To Make Permanent Positive Life Changes - Part Three

Luffa (Loofah) Gourds ready to harvest (& Fall Halloween scene/setting)

I thought I was not going to get any luffa fruits because they had a late start, and they began flowering so late in the summer. To my surprise, after a cold front and rainy day last week, I found several Luffa gourds dangling along the vines on the (rain barrel) trellis.

With these, I will dry the gourds to use as luffa scrubs and save the seeds for growing next year.

The Luffa…
