Haha I didn't think this was going to be so yummy without avocado but it is!
1 Yellow squash
1 Small Tomato
1 Cup of Kale
1/4 Cup sweet red onion
I wasn't sure what to do with a bunch of beet greens I had so I just blended:
A blender filled with beet greens
Just a few red leaf lettuce leaves
Half a tomato
Half an avocado
Just a splash of water
I thought I would have to add spices but I don't! It's simple and a filling and wonderful soup! I'm looking forward to the next time I have an abundance of beet greens! I think with very little modification, this would make a…Continue

Yesterday I had a really lazy day and didn't run and I ate basically just dates and avocado. I didn't feel too great at the end of the day but it was good to just kind of do what I wanted and not freak out about eating anything.
Today though: whole different story! I got up earlier, I ran longer than usual and I've been making the most wonderful smoothies with all the freezer fruit I've been accumulating!
Breakfast smoothie: Mangoes and oranges!
Woke up thirsty and wanting a big juicy apple. So having my 16 oz glass of water and eating a honey crisp apple which is one of my favorites. I have to host a dinner party tonight and thus it will be based around cooked foods as this is a business function. The great part of this is that the people that I am hosting are Indian Vegetarians so that makes life a lot simpler by having it catered by the local indian restaurant.
I am making a big beautiful salad so that I can eat that…Continue

OK, been going as fruity as I can. I still am working with controlling the PM Food Ogre. Finding that adding grips of veggies does help quite a bit, as the banana ripening process lags.
So went in for regular check up at docs the other day, and have dropped about 6#'s and BP is lower then it has been in a few years.
I feel nothing but good stuff, on the horizon, from continuing on this path. Now the only thing left to do is rid the world of grumpy people. 8•…Continue

Hello. Been working on this for about 2 weeks. 1st question is, what is best way to ripen bananas? Having read that the bananas give of a gas while ripening, I have them in plastic bags. What I'm experiencing with that is they seem to ripen more slowly then being in the open air. Any help here greatly appreciated.
Next, the fruit flies. OMG! These buggers are taking over the place. I do contain them, somewhat, leaving plastic bottles with vinegar and a few drops of dish soap…Continue
So im sure i to have candida and leaky gut, prob had this for many years from a huge amont of antibiotics. As for now 811 is not rly doing anything for me more then uppsetting my stomach but i have faith that it will get better. I hade absolutly no enegi for workout today since i did eat 2kg of pears and all that fiber got my stomach even more uppset. Hoping that my bananas will get ripe tomorow so that i finaly can get 3000kcal, im starting to feel all the undereating now…Continue
Ugh! I had a business meeting last night and I had a glass of chardonnay. I feel awful today! I definitely don't feel like running! I haven't had an off day since Sunday so I feel like I could take today off but I'm actually getting so into running that it makes me feel sad to miss it! I'm doing great! I've been doing 5k + per day but I'm shooting for 5 miles or maybe 10k per day. I love it! I have such a beautiful place to run now and it's been great. It's already very…Continue
Feeling very cold all the time and the cold and damp weather has settled in. This morning just trying to heat myself up and thus did a bit of fresh rolled oats with water. Topped off with walnuts and cinnamon. Felt better I don't think that I cooked it for more than a minute so not sure how this translates as above 117 degrees but I liked the sensation of a warm meal to start off my day. I am keeping the philosophy of eating as natural as possible and eating my meals at home so that I…Continue
I'm doing the Naperville Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, in Naperville, Illinois.
My dad, my sister, and one of my friends do this run every year, but i have never been in good enough shape to join them. I really needed something to look forward to, and something to train for, with winter approaching.
Winter will be a challenge this year. I started my journey to better health last March, so most of my experience with eating well has occurred during…Continue
Having huge cravings for meet and cheese. I just dont seem to get my 2 boxes of bananas to get ripe, they move so slowly because it is to cold in the house (we dont have any heat source). They are getting there but not all the way, i am however eating them, they do have brown spots on them at least so some starches are broken down i guess but i get bloated and dont feel any good. Hate the feeling when you want to go on this diet but then constantly come in to periods where you just run out…Continue

I had a salt relapse, again. I have finally realized that I need to surrender ALL of my eating, not just most of it. And that means surrendering my resentments when life doesn't go the way I want, or the people in my life don't do what I want. That means I can't eat just salt-free cooked food, or a little bit of salt. I can't go just a little bit low on my calories for a few days in a row. Well, I can't if I want to be free of food obsession and salt addiction and water retention,…Continue
Woke up today feeling fine but then i had 1.5kg of grapes and got the same feeling as yeasterday, totaly out of energy, dont know what it is. So after i was able to find some decently ripe bananas i had about 9 of them and then i did som exercise for 30 min, got in some running for about 10min until my foot started to hurt, i have an old injury i have been fighting with for more then a year now in my foot preventing me from doing any decent running. Im hooping it will go away but so far no…Continue

My goal right now is to be 70-90% raw, so by "spoiling my apatite" with about 400 calories of sweet fruit before a savory meal wipes out my intense desire for cooked foods.
I am pretty excited to find that this works for me because I have had some difficulty getting enough leafy greens in my diet, so it allows me to meet my carb needs for the day as well as getting two salad meals in a day.
It is a challenge restructuring the way you see food and think about proper meals in…Continue

I have been majorly roller-coastering the past couple years... yes, YEARS.
And for some reason I don't feel like doing that anymore. Simply don't have the energy OR interest in dealing with problems using nasty foods anymore...
SO I have been eating whatever HCLF things I crave and i think i feel GREAT yet I am confused.
Technically, I have been eating superb the last few meals: Apple sauce, frozen banana slices, and cinnamon.
So, some research has been getting done on the anti-cancer benefits of the graviola tree. They're pretty astounding. My mother is fighting breast cancer right now and I'm hoping there is really something to this. Hope this helps someone out there!

The gray wolf, (or canis lupus), subsists primarily on a diet of watermelon chutney, summer watermelon salad with feta and mint, watermelon rind relish, and watermelon margaritas. This rare picture shows one of these normally reclusive animals preparing his dinner.Continue
