Breakfast is my most favorite meal of the day! I think it always has been. When I was young I used to love my cereals. Fruity Pebbles was a favorite of mine! I could eat cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner if allowed.
Thankfully I have changed my eating habits. Breakfast still is my favorite and I still love a bowl of "cereal". My cereal bowl is now full of fruit!…Continue
Learning to trust yourself will most likely be a huge key to your freedom in this life.
When you know that you can trust your gut, trust your intuition, trust yourself generally to make choices that will benefit you - so much of the fear, anxiety and stress of life will melt away.
The only problem?
Going from someone who does not trust yourself to someone who does feels like jumping from the bottom of Mount Everest to the top in one fell swoop.
Trust me. I…Continue

Play and Pleasure.
These two words are the keys to your success in this life.
These two words also carry with them a tonne of emotional baggage, and if you are anything like the masses out there, you most likely have a hard time with these two concepts.
You may feel that you must work first, play later.
You may struggle with feelings of guilt when you take time out to play.
You may feel that pleasure is a luxury, not a need.
You may be the kind of person who…

The vegan community is great! I just love the sense of community that comes with connecting with others who have succeeded and love this lifestyle. We all are here to learn and grow and all have different experiences to share. The community is growing tremendously so there are many people out there that you can connect with and follow.
Most raw vegan foodies are very compassionate…Continue

The cushaws seen in the photos were grown by my grandmother's friend. With these, I will use parts of the cushaw to eat and will also save the seeds to grow these fruits next year.
What we have harvested this week from the garden are additional cucumbers, beans, and some baby melons.…

Being energetically sensitive is a huge gift in this life.
Well it is, when it is not busy kicking your A**
So many people who are sensitive to the feelings, thoughts and emotions of those around them feel like going out into the world is akin to walking around a battle zone.
Feeling anxious, fearful, out of touch with your body, like you have a million thoughts swirling around your head, even developing O.C.D like behaviours and other physical symptoms seems to be a…Continue

I'm going to start off by saying I'm Ashley, and I've been following Freelee and Durianrider for a few years now.
I currently weigh 338 Pounds and I'm 5'10''. Which means my BMI is in the 40's. Not my proudest moment, but also not my highest weight. I've slowly worked my way down from 345 to my current weight. My highest weight is also 360, but I've not been that since I was around 19.
I've been a liberal vegan for pretty much a year. What I mean…Continue
It is time, more than time, to start valuing your own experience and your own intuition over the advice of others.
There are SO many people out there who are willing to step up and tell you exactly what you should do. They are willing to say 'if it worked for me, it WILL work for you, and all you have to do is follow my lead.'
But, what happens when it doesn't work for you? Are you wrong? Are you broken? Is there something messed up about you?
In todays video I talk…Continue

I'm going to college soon and I need some advice.
What did you take on school days? Can you maybe give me some examples of your diary on a school day? I use to eat a salad for lunch with fruit, but every meal may take me an hour to eat. So that's too long for school or work. How large does bottles need to be for smoothies and do you have some smoothie ideas?
A green heart.
The heart for compassion, green for plant power.
In the last few days, we harvested watermelons, grapes, and strawberries.…
So I am slowly transitioning into the raw high carb vegan lifestyle. So I decided that breakfast would be raw to start with. So I decided to make the datorade at first i liked it because it was sweet and I have a sweet tooth but then it became too much and I couldn't drink it anymore. So I think I have to just eat dates in their natural form because they taste better to me that way.
Also when I woke up I had 750 mL of water.
For lunch I ate a soup that my mom made for…Continue

Any one have suggestions for an equally inexpensive alternative? I've been struggling along alone for a few months since figuring this allergy out and I'm not having any luck sticking to raw. In fact my husband is doing way better than I am. He's eating all the bananas that I cannot. Very frustrating.

It is time for you to rise up and be your own Guru.
It is time for you to see your own strength, your own power, your own ability to decide for yourself what is and is not in alignment with you.
It is time for you to see that when you act in your highest interest, you act on behalf of the highest interest of us all.
You do not need anyone outside of yourself to tell you how to live.
Only you can tell you that.
Today's video is all about you becoming your…Continue

A month or so ago I posted the video "Growing grapes, figs, & papaya in Zone 6", showing the progress on the grapes, figs, and papaya plants in the food forest garden. I received mixed criticism from those who KNOW you cannot grow papaya trees in this region. In response to the criticism, I am fully aware that the papaya trees, even avocado trees, that are growing up from the compost, may not produce any fruits, and may not survive inside the home during winter months. But, I am…Continue
It is one of the most popular principals of pretty well all spiritual/philosophical paths.
BUT - how often do you find yourself telling yourself you 'should' forgive so and so, or 'should' get over such and such, only to find that you struggle to get to this place.
Which means not only are you suffering with the hurt of the situation, you are now feeling bad about yourself that you can't forgive.
I've been there friend. And it sucks.

It seems like every year there is a different vegetable that does so well, we couldn't possibly eat everything, and then the next year, that same vegetable may do horribly. For example, two years ago was my best year for Tomatoes because it was a dry year. This year the climate has been a wet summer, so the tomatoes have not flourished like they usually do.
But, this garden year we have harvested so many cucumbers in…
