Just got back from an 11 day trip to Portland, Oregon. Home in Philadelphia, PA as of last night. I ate mostly pasta and potatoes with very small fruit breakfasts(all apples and bananas) with some pasteurized orange juice and romaine lettuce thrown in while I was away with some vegan junk thrown in (have you heard of the vegan food cart Homegrown Smoker? worth it…). I can now say goodbye to the cholecystitis I was dealing with!! Hooray!!! Happy Dance!!!!! I've been losing weight over the last year, but my diet has never really been sustainable. I would eat maybe an apple and orange for breakfast, a banana as a snack, then a tuna salad for lunch, followed by maybe soup, egg whites, mushrooms, peppers, and copious amounts of sweetened coffee. I've done every diet.
Okay, that's an overstatement. But I've done quite a few. South Beach when I was younger (which was basically an eating disorder) and several other strange fads for bursts of a week or so. A year and a half ago I started exercising religiously (I love it), and that cut the idea of dieting out of my system. I was getting slim and loving life. I have been HCLF vegan since July 26th 2014. I run 5-6 days a week for 30-40 mins each time. I get about 6 hours of sleep a night.
I am eating a good amount of fruit and carbs:
Run on empty after drinking water when I wake up. Then...

So I will admit working at a fast food restaurant is miserable 100% of the time (at least it was for me)

I've been slowly introducing fruits and vegetables to my diet over this summer before starting the raw 'till 4 diet. Today I decided to start it, this morning I had my date and banana smoothie! So there's no doubt that I am facing some immune issues! My immune system seems to be running on fumes and needs a good boost. a week and a half before the gallbladder attack, I had a week and a half long UTI. So I am new to the raw till 4 journey & digestive health, weight loss & overall mental sanity are my main goals at the moment. I am addicted to Medjool dates & am worried I may eat to many dates instead of other fruits which may hinder the weight loss. I have not been able to run lately due to my increased weight and the strain on my knees and ankles. I used to run 13 miles with barely any effort but tonight it literally hurt to run 1 mile. I did it, though! I ran 1.5 miles nonstop. It seems like so little to many people, but it felt like a marathon to me. Going to really try to get this weight back down. The tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, beans, and melons continue to grow, and usually harvest from these daily or weekly.
The potatoes are finally ready to be harvested. James dug up a small patch for us to eat, and they were delicious with some of our beans and corn and some sliced tomatoes.
