I always have Sundays off, and recently I have started taking Sundays VERY easy. I've decided to try to get most errands done during the rest of the week so that I don't have to worry about a thing on my day of rest. After almost a year hiatus from the raw diet, I'm back at it. Thank the fruit flies for Freelee's Banana Girl challenge which struck an interest in my wife who is now fully on board with the raw diet.
Our fridge and kitchen are now full of cases of bananas, tangerines, mangos and strawberries. I'm pumped! Time to go eat another banana!

I only made it half way through day 2! It was 106 degrees in the shade, with full Iowa humidity. Most of the first day, i was feeling great! We stayed with my aunt and uncle in Iowa for a day before the ride started, so i was able to go to the grocery store and stock up on fruit. I've been craving mangoes all the time these days. Well, I worked a half shift yesterday and all I could think about was mangoes. When I got off work around 2 I was starving. I made the big mistake I keep making over and over again: I went too long without eating. Four hours is a long time when you are trying to start off raw. Would love to connect with other raw vegan mamas... my son is still primarily breastfed at 8 months and the only foods he's eaten has been pureed fruits, some hemp seed milk, and avocado...
During my pregnancy I did experience some enamel loss on 10 different teeth and really need to re-mineralize... any advice on that too? So far I am eating more greens and rebalancing the calcium/phosphorus.

Height - 6'2" Weight - 160lbs Age - 16... 17yrs in oct.
Energy/exercise level - Non existant :S never really in the mood. Maybe once a month ill go for a run. I love to swim though! But havent gone in a while.

So, I'm pretty new to this lifestyle and I'm still transitioning to being totally lfrv so I've been still eating boiled potatoes every now and then when I get a cooked food craving. I was just wondering if I continue eating potatoes would I get the same benefits from this diet? Or should I cut them out as soon as I can? Any advice is welcome!
My family came to visit me this past week in Austin. My father is a "meat and potatoes" vegetarian. So of course after about 8 days of 801010 i started 'talking' to someone which means going out for food. most of the time it would be after work where i haven't eaten in HOURS so i am most vulnerable. for about a week and a half to two weeks i fell wayyyy off the wagon...mostly eating chocolate any chance i got. still not eating much meat (I'll admit i did have coconut shrimp twice that week :( ) but my bloating and gas surprisingly didnt affect me....

So, I had 6 awesome weeks and then came week 7 and everything suddenly seemed to get really difficult.
I don't know why but I lost my motivation and felt like "why?" I gained some weight back, felt lethargic, unhappy with myself. It was so much harder to go to the gym. And I am just overall disappointed with myself for the past week.

Is it just me or is focusing on percentages of raw-ness not very effective when it comes to eating raw? I know that saying "I'm 100%" or "I'm 99%" can be convincing for other people once you've become raw, helping them see in a more numerical form that you're only eating fruit, greens, veggies, etc.
