9 year Vegan Anniversary

I am certain that I was vegetarian for several days to a week before Veganism. I remember having shrimp for the first time and feeling disgusted with my decision to eat animal flesh after understanding the cruelty. That day, the first Sunday in April, I officially stopped eating animal flesh. So I am so excited! I received a proclamation from the county legislator where I work for being a passionate and caring teacher! One of my students wrote an essay about me and the essay was submitted by her Social Studies teacher into a county wide contest. feeling like ****

i feel like total ****, even though i am carbed up, I've been doing this 9 months and still no permanent weight loss. i go home to see my friends in 3 days and i don't want them to see me like this, its even harder when my mom just watches me eat and is like do you really need to eat all of that. i eat between 2500-3000 cals this is where i feel my best so I'm obviously not going to try restricting especially coming from an ed background but i want the weight to come off more than anything.…

Day 3 of switching over to this lifestyle

I woke up feeling amazing today! I'm usually tiered and angry when I wake up but to felt different .... Like I actually felt different I wasn't angry and I didn't drag my feet I just got up and went. Heck even the day started what I would have preserved as "bad" I had someone call out on me on a two person shift store and I handled it better than I use to. Idk what I was doing before but now I feel as though I have finally woke up and I feel amazing for it!

Food Noise Ramblings

I just want to bring up the topic of "food noise". Food noise is the dialogue that we have with ourselves inside of our minds when we think about food or eating. Often people have a bad relationship with food, they feel that it is necessary to restrict restrict restrict. Then when they eventually get low on glucose they break down and eat an entire pizza.

Monday, April 29, Day 1

Yesterday the sun came out after a long time of gray and hail and snow and rain. As soon as I got home from work, I sat in the grass in the sunshine and played with the bunnies and Emma and the dogs. A cute, young couple asked through the fence if they could come play too so we let them. First day.

It was more difficult than I thought it would be. The most difficult part was eating the amount of calories I needed, not choosing between the Pizza Rolls in the freezer or my bananas and zucchini. 

Upon rise I drank some orange and lemon infused water.

Feeling Isolated...

It's been awhile since discovering the beauty of 80/10/10. My body is finally healing. It's been a wacky roller coaster ride the past 6 months, but I know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I know I'll get to where I want to ultimately be in terms of health, fitness, and well being.

I have never heard a doctor say "you need to eat more meat", only those who say you need to eat more fruits and vegetables.

PMA All The Way

PMA - for all who don't know it stands for positive mental attitude! :) I am going to admit that I grew up in a negative environment. The terror keeping me from LFRV

First, I've been vegan for just about five years. So that is not an issue.
