I know logically that this is the right way of eating for me, but I don't want to be logical right now. For some reason I have the mindset of all-or-nothing, & if I stuff up even slightly then I beat myself into the ground. Cripple, waste-of-space, good for nothing piece of ****...all make regular appearances in my 'self talk'. And it's constant. I want to start living, having fun, not being totally food focused & that's it, and it's because of these reasons that I've decided to take a… Continue

So I'm only about 1000 calories short today... which is good :)
Got tboned by a car on my bike as I road to the Thursday night social ride here... I seem to be fine other than a hole in my shoe and a little road rash on my right shin. Went on to ride another 15 or so miles on the social ride... so I'm probably just fine.

So apparently I've picked up a staph infection in my small intestine... I've been advised to go off of raw foods for 17 days to help heal the enteritis (inflammation) in my small intestine. I was told to eat very bland food such as applesauce and mashed sweet potatoes. Today is day 2 off the raw and I am so incredibly tired. I don't feel full when I eat the cooked food and I feel that it drains all the life out of me. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? Like maybe things to eat that… Continue

Wow, I can't believe it has been a month since I posted a blog! SO, I have basically been on a month long binge. I have been struggling with sugar and cooked grain addictions. I am pretty hopeful, starting today, because I stocked up on lots of low fat raw foods and don't have any temptations at home.
Here is what I have planned for today:
-Huge Banana, Strawberry, fresh orange juice smoothie.
Taking to work with me:
-Fresh Medjool… Continue

It's been a week, now, on my watermelon island. And, oh my gosh, do I feel FANTASTIC! I can't believe the energy rushing through me. I've never experienced energy this pure and this clean. It's truly invigorating.
I am so motivated to get things done. Right now, I'm helping my mom move from one home to another, and it's just no problem for me to pack, move boxes, drive the boxes to the new house, unpack, and repeat. It just feels so good to move, to do something that is both… Continue

I just saw the 1st episode of this series on Vh1. I never watch tv but im glad i did. Jessica Simpson is an angel...i honestly see a genuine person in her. She has more personality and spirit than many other actresses out there. She doesnt care what people think/is not afraid to be her goofy self.
I highly recommend watching an episode. Its crazy what some people do to feel or be "beautiful." I realize that beauty is from within. This saying gets thrown around alot, but I… Continue

Ok, intake for today thus far:
Brekkies: 4 apples (all I could force down, I'm really starting to despise apples)
Lunch: 5 oranges
Lunch 2 (lol): 7 oranges
Dinner: 4 apples, and I plan on eating 3 more throughout the evening to get at least 1500 (I'm working my way up to 2,000, but it's a big step from 1,000 for me)
Anyone listen to primarily music made before 1990? I feel like today's music is just so… Continue

I've been mostly raw for over a month now, i had a few slip ups. I'm starting to not reach for the vitamins all the time, this is good. Hopefully one day I won't need them!

Dates may be my only hope for getting enough calories...
I've to 30 bananas and 2lbs of baby spinach worth of smoothie in the fridge.
I've eaten 2.37 lbs of mangos, and 32 oz of raw unpastuerized orange juice.
If I succeed in eating all of the smoothie, I will be close to enough calories for today... but I'm not even a 3rd of the way through, and I don't think I can make it, it's just to much food :(
So... I… Continue

I just need to blog again to keep myself going.
1) I haven't quit smoking yet, so I'm feeling guilty
2) I am not 100% raw yet, so I'm feeling guilty.
I'm tired of feeling guilty!
I've had several problems with my roommate and best friend the past couple of months...the stress has me smoking and still eating cooked food at least once a day (sometimes more). I need some distance from her and need to look for better… Continue

Day 100 of the Fruit Feast.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
As one who puts implicit trust in the bible as my guide, i really believe these verses with all my heart. Things happen in the time appointed and always for… Continue

I have been lfrv for about a month now.
When I started i had one small cavity(my first one ever), I was eating mostly high-fat raw, with some cooked vegan meals(lentil soup, corn, yams) not as much fruit. After a month on 100% lfrv I have spotted four new cavities, all in the back molars =/
I know I shouldn't blame the fruit. I just dont know what I am doing wrong.
I eat three times a day, usually mono meals, I am regularly active, and… Continue
