30 Bananas a Day!

Struggling....

Well, I am not doing so great. I woke up early and then went back to sleep for an hour, so I really didn't have time to make a smoothie. I did however make a blender full of watermelon even though I felt bad for using my blender at 8am while my roommate was sleeping. (I have decided that I love watermelon juice but not watermelon smoothies)

So I took the blended watermelon to work, drank it. Then had two bananas about half an hour later. After that....I was contemplating a lot of… Continue

Well Excuse Me. I bathe in a sauna not a steam room.

To whom it may concern,
I wish to inform all concerned parties that I don't sweat it out in a steam room, but rather a sauna. This is a traditional finnish concept, adapted and improved for modern use from the aboriginals of the land.
So if the right wording is that you fool heartedly put in its place to vent off a little steam when the vocabulary breaks down and the communication stops...well then this is just to let you know I was in that place before. But today my sarcasm…

Again Candida

I know this is something that is posted a lot, but I have very high candida and I have supplements coming out of my ears, I have got a couple of months of work and really want to get rid of the candida now, I just want to know that although I would like to stick to the 801010, if I was to go over the 10 percent fat i.e 20 percent would the candida come back because I really want to get rid of it not just hide it, I want to go travelling and don't want to be feeling pressured, worrying about… Continue

Is eating late ok?

Hey everyone,

I hear every now and again the topic of eating late at night is really bad. Most of the time i try not to eat past 7pm but on some days when i have university late and then i might go to the gym i don't get home until 7,8,9 o'clock and then i just eat! Apparently, the food you eat at the time of the night does not have the same effect on your body as it would if you ate it during the day or at the latest 6pm..I do find that if i eat this late my sleep is not good…

Animal Ethics Conference! Earthlings!

Today was the first day of the Animal Ethics conference at UVU. I learned about it here from prad and I'm so glad I did! Got the whole week off to go to all of the events.

Today the first speaker was Jane Akre. She focused more on News ethics than Animal ethics, but her news story came about because of rBGH use in dairy cows. (And I got some nice tidbits to share with my Fox-watching mother.) I don't think she's even vegetarian but I don't know. She spoke of how rBGH can be…

1st day of week

5 navel oranges + another one sliced, 2 apple bananas, 2 cups seasoned salad (soy sauce, spices, salt, sesame oil, vinegar, etc.) @ student's house,

2 cups green leaf lettuce w/ 1/2 avocado, 1/2 red bell pepper, 1 tbsp hemp

seeds, and mango chunks.

One tiny piece of kimchi at student's too. Everything was okay but I should probably work on not having seasonings that include salts, nor

oils. I could probably eat more fruit. Ah well, so… Continue

Update.

So since my last blog/forum post I ended up going to the dr's and getting a steroid shot then had to go back a day later (eyes swollen shut/throat starting to swell shut) and was put on meds, yes I would rather have not but sometimes its necessary. The doctor also did a series of tests, chest xrays, and more bloodwork.

I have been on singulair, xyzal, and ranitidine for close to a week now with slight improvement, still very fatigued- have been on bedrest for a week and…

A refreshing release

Tonight it is showering outside, and I've opened the window. It is lovely to listen to!

To give the body the best air to breathe, the most exposure to the elements of nature we were born to thrive with, to give it the food of life! That which circulates through our bloodstream exactly as it was fit to, with the least amount of residual waste. To create from a fresh place, ready to share, life with all. You know how for photosynthesis the…

People aren't questioning if my diet is unhealthy anymore!

I've been eating a lfrv/Fruitarian diet since Jan. 2008

A lot of people from family, friends, training partners and etc think that I'm unhealthy or I'm 'soon' going to 'breakdown'.

Well I keep running faster, keep pushing new limits and so far so good...

I've run so many PR/PB from 10k to marathon's to ultra distances I can't keep count these days.

I ran a 2:30.59 marathon a week after running a 50mile race in 5 hours 50 minutes. On top of running 150 mile…

day 12 of 30 days raw

Hi

Having been curious for so so long i decided to go 30 days raw and its my 12th day.

I will definitely complete a minimum of 30 days but as yet I cant say that i am feeling more energetic or happier. I dont feel absolutely terrible and i am managing to train with no problems but i am not feeling wonderful. I have some questions:-

- I am craving cooked food. Is this because my body needs it or because i am addicted to it?

- I feel a bit 'spaced out' today and a… Continue

Apple-Man's "NO BULLSHIT ADVICE"

I loved this sooooooo much that I wanna post it here on my blog in case others miss it.

WHile reading this I was jumping up and saying 'Yes yes yes yes yes yes"

My History

This is my first blog post after joining 30 bananas a Day and i couldnt be more excited to be a part of this revolutionary group of individuals who take the healthy lifestyle as seriously as I do.

Me and my sister Abbey, username 'Echo' have always had the same outlook on life, and it is thanks to her that i have come this far.

I have been Vegan for almost 5 years, starting in late 2005, and have only recently decided to make the leap to full blown Raw Food Veganism. It…
