ok so this is today's effort. i really tried to get the calories in. the bananas helped. i am closer but still a little short. i am happy to aim for 2000 slowly. i hate the feeling of being too full and i dont like eating when i am not hungry.
i really felt the hit of dehydration today. i dont know what happened. i didnt drink my usual 2-3 litres in the morning. i drank about 1. after lunch i drank another .... and fell asleep! i woke up one hour later, drank another litre and went for my run. my performance was pretty ordinary. so i learnt an extremely valuable lesson about WATER. i am going to aim to drink at 2-3 litres in the morning before breakfast everyday to make sure i stay… Continue
wow!! i got it. i jogged 4km without a break. i am not to sure how long that is but i think that meets my first fitness goal of 20mins. my walk in total was about 8km. i also did stretching, push ups, sit ups and dips.

wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better this time. thanks for all your tips. i did 5 laps. 3/4 of the last 4 laps were jogging and the rest fast walking.
for the first time in my life i understod what jogging/running is about!! i have never liked it, but i realised it just like walking. if you practice it comes naturally. as obovious as this sounds it had never occoured to me. and so now i am alll motivated to become a "faster walker" or a better runner.
Seriously, the snow needs to stop. I miss the sun.
Sooo I went running today and took a pilates class. I am thinking about learning Tae Kwon Do or go back to learning Ballet. I love being active. Sitting on my butt is a no-no.

I had my first class of Iyengar yoga on Saturday and I have to say...Ouch!! It was really challenging and painfull. An hour and a half of held poses focusing on strength and body alignment. The next day I was so sore but I wasn't deterred as I knew it was doing me good and improving my lack of flexibility. So I went back last night and had another class which again was hard and painfull but today I woke up with no pain at all. Had a few ups and downs last week but managed to get through it and feel a little stronger (and hopefully fitter).
Started the week eating a lot of mono banana meals but after a few days I started having really intense cravings for foods that I haven't had in ages - which strangely included things like chocolate and pasta. addiction is a strange thing, i often find it amazing how something so disgusting to some can be so fulling to others. I couldn't eat a hamburger if someone paid me. but give me a fag and i am as happy as a pig in mud (as horrible as that is to admit.)
Boo to snow. But at least staying-in forced me to finish my law school applications! woo hoo. I hope to attend law school in California where it is warm and sunny. I want to be able to run outside rather than on a thread mill in the gym. I like the sun beating down on me; I like to tan, but I better be careful eeks!
