I love running on the beach, laying in the sun, and watching movies with my partner, Phillip. I played baritone horn in marching band in college (U.C. Berkeley). Orienteering and Ultimate Frisbee are also distractions that I enjoy. I was a Mormon missionary in Finland when I was 19 (but the church and I? well, we're seeing other people right now :-)

I enjoy animated short films, watching uplifting movies, listening to educational audio, reading science fiction, learning new things, and studying nutrition and fitness. I heard about 80/10/10 in the summer of 2007 and have been trying to follow it ever since.

Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan and vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
I enjoy keeping in touch with other folks practicing a lowfat, raw vegan diet. I learned about raw food in early 2006 and the 80/10/10 diet, or lowfat way, in the middle of 2007, which helped me make a great deal of additional progress.

thanks for your friend request! the flea market has good deals on produce? no way, would've never thought to look there. best deals i've found in the area so far are foraging, and the 10% discount at whole foods (my friend works at whole foods so hopefully will get his employee discount too). but there must be a wholesaler around here somewhere... anyway i'd love to meet you, and more of the other locals on here too. we could organize a fruitluck or fruity hike or something? francesca, etc.
Van baby, how is my citrus juicing partner in crime? I thoroughly enjoyed and will never forget our chats this year in CR. It sure is nice connecting with a genuine and solid guy such as yourself. I look forward to the next time. If I'm ever in your area, I'd love to stop in and say hey. Thanks for the buddy up.
Oh, I have actually never been to as many waterfalls as I wish in my rather short lifetime! ;P But wow, I absolutely love your pictures...do you make a hobby of cliff diving? Exciting! I must try it sometime. :D
Hi Van! Yeah for sure, i am really excited! After more then 3 years eating this way, living hygienically and fasting... i will be able to learn more about it, eat and share some time with people that agree with the concept, and learn more about fasting :D!
I am bringing several books, some table tennis racquets, some "frescoball" racquets, and some forró music cds (a brazilian dance)! Pretty awesome...
Thanks for making contact Van. It is nice to know that there is another gay guy here. There must be more. That's awesome that you and Phillip went to Costa Rica. I'm new to 100% raw - have been vegan for about 8 months and raw for about a week or so. So all of this 80/10/10 stuff is new to me. I've ordered the book though. Not even sure at the moment if 80/10/10 is right for me - maybe I'll just focus on being a healthy raw vegan for a while first. I'm keen to go to Costa Rica. In fact I started learning Spanish yesterday online in preparation! LOL.
