2-3 year stories

I would like to see some testimonials for those who have really stuck it out, gained weight, and now are losing or met goal weight on Raw til 4?  I see people maintaining or gaining but never any stories of those who really have recovered over a long period and finally are eating to abundance and have begun to finally lose.

I have found a plan that works for me.  It allows me to eat to my heart's content and not worry about gaining on cooked foods or having enough energy to run 10 miles a day.  I have to eat fruit for energy so that could be anything from bananas to 20 peaches.  I eat all mono fruit meals every day 5 days a week.  Then on Thurs. and Sun. I eat a cooked meal.  I get the great effects of eating all raw plus eating raw til 4.  I love this and finally found my path with this way of life.  I am thin…

McDonalds Raw!!!!

Hey, I got in a pinch and went to McDonalds! LOL!  Guess what I had.  I ordered a pineapple/mango smoothie WITHOUT the yogurt.  It is made with real fruit and they will make it without the yogurt which is normally put in.  They also had pomegranite/blueberry.  So if you are traveling or out with friends you can still eat fruit.

Why is it that I lose weight, even up to 2 pounds eating fruit/dessert?  Yet on fruit/cooked I gain.

As I was transitioning into going all raw, this happened to me quite frequently.  I would eat fruit all day and then have a heavy meal sometimes which included fat or just some sweet desserts in general.  I would feel my heart starting to beat irregularly even into the next day until I started to eat fruit.  I would also stand up and feel dizzy.  Anyone have this happen.  Even if I mess up still this happens.

Hiya, No I don't have a blog or anything.  Id been vegetarian for 14 years and now vegan for a year.  I've never been overweight but lost weight when I turned fully vegan and felt a lot better.

I was with Judy, she took small bites and didn't eat the amounts recommended here, although I was with her years after she lost weight and was "maintaining" Perhaps in her early weight loss period she ate huge amounts of fruit.

Conceptually as far as mono and food combining, great info to promote easy digestion.  Some of her health claims about the benefit and effect of eating certain fruits were a "little' careless.  I certainly at this age and stage of the game am NOT attempting to eat her cooked food recommendations but her stance on sodium, fruit eating, and food combining are basic principles that will never change.

Hey thanks for the friend request! To answer your question I was 10st 8lb when I started and now I'm 9st 12lb (I'm 5'8) and lost that over 6-7 weeks on a mostly raw, mostly vegan diet (surely we all slip up here and there). I'm using the Cronometer app that Freelee recommends, and I think that's helped me stay on track! I'm not particularly active so hope the extra few pounds will come off when I start exercising properly. Hope this answered your question :)

I mainly eat bananas most days as my staple....and medjool dates few days as my staple. I get in about 2,000-2,500 cals. Now that it's winter I eat bananas, medjool dates, grapes, berries, and half an avocado almost every night. I get in some greens too. I've been eating a lot of celery lately :)

Hi Oriana, thanks for yr friend request! :) yes i do eat up to 9 mangoes in a meal but only when their the smaller variety, otherwise ill have about 5 or 6 larger ones. <3

I am totally down for the rock n roll marathon! but...i just looked up the date and I'm running Tough Mudder in Surprise that SAME day!! :( and somehow I doubt I'd be able to run the 11 mile Tough Mudder then make it out to run PFChangs as well :/

hey :) i'm 16, 5'3" and about 100 pounds (basically i'ma really tiny person in general) and i eat 2-3k calories minimum, which is a lloooot of food for someone my size. but of course, it doesnt matter how much you eat on 80/10/10. and i run cross country& track for school and love it more than anything. :) you?

Hi Oriana, Thanks for adding me, Yea i do eat a lot of fruit, I feel like i never stop eating. Im not much of a runner, buti do alot of exercise classes which i absolutly lovE!!!! Definately want to get into running, it just takes me a while to get in to it. how much you eating in the day then? :)
