Hey Oliver...Sorry, I've been MIA for ages...I used to spend around NZ$90-150 per week on fruit, depending on whether or not I decided to splurge on peaches, stock up on dates, or just stick to staples like bananas and citrus. I used the wholesaler Fresh Direct in Wellington, picked up directly from their warehouse and always paid cash. Rob was my contact in Auckland, but this was about a year ago, so he may or may not still be there. In a day I shoot for 3000-3500 calories...In NZ, the majority of my calories were always bananas, usually around 20 per day, then the remainder coming from citrus, stonefruit, and/or dates. Smoothies are a big favorite of mine! My mom and sister always made fun of me for eating out of either a box or a bucket because my meals were so huge! Hope you're well and enjoying spring!

Hey Oliver :0)

This lifestyle is what ever you make of it. If all you can afford is dates and banana's then dates and nana's it is. if its melon then melons it is or apples, apricots, mangos etc, do you get it bro. Dates and banana's are highly recommended as the are relatively high in calories - banana's are about 75/80-100 calories per nana and dates are about 75 calories per date. Definately get you greens in at the same time don't stress if you don't have same for the day.

Do what feels right for you.

You really need to get the 80/10/10 book by Dr Doug Graham, Oliver. Its all in there...

Ok, cool... So I'm hearing you in that you want your health back and I can asure you you've come to the right place :0) I've struggled with my health in the past, dis-orderd emotions and health :0) Eating clean raw wholesome foods is part of the answer your searching for :0) as well as what I wrote below ;0) You can make this lifestlye work on $130 a week! Be creative! Mono-ing is very good for you, so eating just banana's and dates is algood bro as with you saying you'd chuck in some green smoothies, sweet. Use banana's and dates as your staple and then add in what ever else you wish for or come across as long as its ripe and preferable low-fat ;0) I spend about $130-160 a week, this depends on prices etc. The bulk of my buy is nana's and dates - for instance I picked up 20kg of dried dates today for $60 through a wholesaler, I also get my banana's through a wholesaler for anywhere from $12-24.50 for a 13kg box. I find myself having my greens in the weekends and pretty much just have smoothies during the week with nana's and date aswell as blueberries sometime :0)

I encourage you to read/surf  through the forums here and you'll find alots peeps who are in similar situations.

Hey bro... The first thing I recommend you do is read 80/10/10. Get enough calories from fruit, being a male ideally aim for a minimum of 3000calories - the best calories source is from banana's and dates - These are pasta's and rice of the raw food lifestyle, drink plenty of water, ideally 3-3.5L, get plenty of sleep, ideally 8-12hrs, exercise daily...These are the basic foundations to succeed with 80/10/10 :0) All the best bro, If you need any advice, help or support you are going to find it here at 30bad ;0)
