Saw your post in the beginners group. IF you are coming from the standard eating, or even vegetarian, sure getting most of your calories from fruit could well have you hungry every 2 or 3 hours, that's because fruit moves through so much more quickly (much more easily digestible) than the old, heavier foods do.

Instead of worrying about calories, do what people do who don't want to worry about things they might forget do, make a list. In this case the "list" will be a logging of all your food and drink intake. There is an excellent se4rvice where you can do this at www.cronometer.com, there are others too, I just like cronometer, but use whatever works for you.

Anyway, log all your food and drink at least the first few months. Yes it's a bit of extra work but as you discover how to make "recipes" etc you'll be able to do it very quickly and easily.

So what will it get you? You will be able to see how you are doing calorie wise. Here we recommend at least 2,500/day for females and at least 3,000/day for males. I know people think fruit is so high in sugar and calories, but most people find, that as opposed to going over in calories, they have a tough time eating enough!

Anyway logging will help you keep track of those calories as well as see the % of your calories in carbs/fat/protein so you can tell if you are on the 80/10/10 track or if you are eating too much fat (very easy to do). Also, it will help you see what kinds of vitamins and minerals you are getting. This is a very important and often overlooked part of why we recommend at the minimum calories that we do, because we want you to get adequate nutrition to fend off low energy, cravings or any nutritional deficiencies.

As far as frequent hunger, you may not be able to eat bananas 10 at a time, etc, so if you have to eat every few hours for a while, I wouldn't sweat it! :)  If you crave savory foods, eat more greens and vegetables, greens, tomatoes, celery are great for this.
