Re-working my diet

Posted on December 27, 2009 at 6:19am 6 Comments

Hi. I've been on 811 since May. I am starting to feel that a fruit based diet is not working for me - at least at this time. I am mostly recovered or on my way to full recovery from a serious illness, mostly neurological. My energy level is fairly good, and I am active but not as active as I would like. My current symptoms include seizures, gastroparesis (which is currently fairly active), hypothyroid currently with adrenal conditions in the past, multiple food and chemical allergies, and a… Continue

Hey, Jnanda!

Your story reassured me several months ago that this diet really could help ameliorate depression, and I do think it is currently doing my brain chemistry good. I wonder though, how long did it take before you felt it really had lifted, and did you doing anything besides the diet that you felt helped speed up the process? I mean, besides taking care of social and personal matters, were there any aides, such as uplifting books, music, therapy, etc.? I'm listening a bit to Eckhart Tolle these days, as others seem to like his work so much, but I don't know.

Have great days,
Nicolas

Hey there! :) My birthday's on the 14th too! :) It's actually the same day of the week as when I was born too... my mom liked Friday the 13th and was hoping I'd be born then. Missed it by a little over an hour... LOL Never been partial or adverse to Friday the 13ths... took my time I guess, heh. Happy B-Day to you! :)

Happy Birthday! I hope you had a lovely one!

I noticed you mentioned that 811rv keeps you seizure free.. I have a couple questions on this. My mother has suffered from seizures (usually just minor with the exception of the occasional grandmal seizure) for several years. She only last year gave in and started taking the meds the doctor prescribed which is making her not have them. We are still unsure of the root cause of her seizures.. possibly her past abusive relationship, stress or who knows.
I got her to do 811rv for a couple weeks, but her detox symptoms were too much for her. I am wondering if I were able to help her through those symptom times(financially since thats why she couldnt continue ) if you think that she would eventually be able to be seizure free without the dialanton(meds) that she is taking. She is all for natural. And still usually eats only fruits and vegetables, but she cooks them a lot of the time. I would love to believe that this would make the differnce.
So my questions are: How was your transition? What was your detox experience? Do you think that my mother could reap the same benefits if I helped her through the transition?

Thank-you so much in advance for any insight. I was thrilled to read your post, and I dearly want to help my mom. she would LOVE to be 811rv.. she is just scared that her body cant handle it (which is silly i know.. i really think its just the detox symptoms) and I think I can help show her..

Sincerely, Shauna
