Even though I am young (18) I have been dieting and trying to be slim almost my whole life. I have tired many diet fads and I pretty much failed at all of them losing some but gaining more back. Last summer I reached my breaking point and I said no more! I asked myself how are some people so healthy what do they do? So I researched and found Freelee and Durianrider on YouTube and fell in love with the concept of being a raw vegan. I tired it out and did really well my last month of summer but once school started I found my friends berating and laughing at my new "lifestyle" so I gave up. I always thought about it though and decided this is what I really wanted I don't want to be constantly sick anymore, I want to be happy, healthy, and fit ! So as of a few days ago I have started again even told my friends and family! I told them not to say anything about it, I wasn't going to listen to them tell me its unhealthy or crazy. They can laugh and criticize me all they want I don't care anymore I am doing this for me so why should they care anyways :)
So that is what brought me to 30BaD but now a little more about me! I am a senior in high school just about to graduate in two months time. Next fall I will be moving from Minnesota to Florida for college :D! I am kind of a nerd, I love superheros the worlds finest(batman,superman, and wonder woman) being my favorite. If possible I will spend the whole day watching TV or Movie marathons. Books are also a passion of mine some of my favorite being harry potter, wicked, the host, and world war z! I also am in love with running and biking. Even though everyone thinks I am crazy for actually liking to run, I find lots of comfort in it even if I can not run that far or fast. Biking is also so much fun I live right by this really nice trail that is perfect for biking and when it is nice outside I could be on that trail for hours!

To get started. Be sure to note food, calorie, water, sleep recommendations and log (can use www.cronometer.com or similar) your food/drink intake, at least for the first few months to get used to what you need to eat to stay on target calorie wise as well as macronutrient (carbs:fat:protein) wise. Even if someone is a long time, established, raw vegan, it is possible discover some things using "hard-data"; spot trends, be able to make good adjustments, that might not be possible otherwise.
