Hey you bad, you 30bad! haha.. lame I know :P Basically, I've always been a huge lover of fresh produce - my family having a farm in the country that I'd visit regularly and just pick the fresh plums and figs off the trees as a child... as I grew up my interest in health increased and a lot of the 'information' I was consuming was suggesting the amount of fruit I was consuming was unhealthy. Bear in mind I was always naturally slim and envied for my figure! So in an attempt to increase my health and 'longevity' (gosh that word's thrown around a lot!!) I cut back on the fruit for a good 5-6 years. What a miserable time! I'm back on the high carb fruit + veg natural eating way of life that comes so much more naturally for me! My fitness has increased two-fold as I finally have enough glucose to fuel my love of being active and athletic. Everyone who meets me comments on how I'm "on the ball" - basically - I'm not undercarbed! I hope that is detailed enough! I have lots to share and I'm really looking forward to connecting with people who have a similar lifestyle to my own :) xxx ps: when I was a baby my parents called me "pawpaw" because I always loved the fresh fruit! Actually HID my meat when i was a toddler and spat out a sausage I was force fed in pre-school (:0!! haha i definitely knew what i wanted! fruit ftw!)

I live in Bondi and love to be on the beach, going for walks and exploring, animals, nature and music (I love to play piano and sing). And do MMA! And dance!
My favourite foods as as followed : custard apple, mango, blueberries, figs, medjool dates, papaya, broccoli, brussel sprouts (unusual - I know! haha), purple carrots, cherry tomatoes and asparagus. And snow peas. haha.. I could go on forever :P
My favourite movies are usually documentary movies, earthlings is very powerful and I watch it frequently to remind myself why I choose to be a vegan.

Just to have a bit of community spirit I guess - I'm so sick of seeing my friends eating a Paleo/low-carb diet and being grumpy around me :P everyone's like, "oh, she's always happy.." talking about me. Its true ;)

Free fruit at uni, eh? How you've got the wheels turning!
If your finances permit it and you can snag a few friends, i'll bet setting up a little stand a central location would be pretty popular. I know at the fruitlucks I've attended and hosted, not everyone eats full-bore LFRV, but even the meatasaurs have a good time. At the very least it's something unique and positive :)
OR, are these BBQ's school sponsored? Maybe you could sway those controlling the purse srings to sponsor your fruity event!
well my sister is moving to sydney later this year, so hopefully i'll be over and i'll check it out! yeah, your so right about eating out. I find it too tricky, so i never bother. Plus, when i have to create and mix at home, i apprciate my food so much more and often it tastes better. I need to seek out some good vegan joints in perth, still discovering it all! I'll definitely try that date recipe of yours because at the moment, it's my only produce i'm not flying through xox
yeah, I'm so glad there is someone just like me in ausland who is on the path of discovering a better and healthier lifestyle. I totally agree with you about the mixed messaging in the media. I have always been told to keep sugar low to prevent the age old mentality of mood swings and such etc etc. Honestly though, i have had remarkable and sustained energy just the last couple of days i have been on the diet. the fibre in the fruit has been keeping me incredibly fuller for longer which is convinient. I have been on almost every diet in the book, my most recent was high protein low carb....what was i thinking! it makes no comparison to bananas! i love my carbs, i love fruit, seemed easy enough and arent you loving that your eating clean as well? you get to eat all this food and its all natural and good for you! what's it like living in bondi? i've lived by the beach in several places in aus but is bondi as good as the hype? xox
