I started on the high carb raw vegan after being a vegetarian for five years. I thought I was doing animals justice by not eating meat, but that was just because I had no idea what went on in the dairy and egg industry. After watching earthlings I decided to go vegan because I don't want to be responsible for so much suffering. After being vegan a while I heard about raw vegan and got Dr. Douglas Gram's book 80/10/10. I've only been high carb raw vegan for a month now, but plan on sticking with it. This brings me to why I am joining 30 bananas a day, I'm here for support, guidance, and to be a part of the community.

My favorite thing to do in the entire world is play music. I play guitar, ukulele, xylophone, bass, and I sing. I also enjoy hiking, swimming, camping, gardening, biking, and being outside in general. Even though I'm outside a lot, I still find time to watch Wilfred, Breaking Bad, and Bob's Burgers.

To get started. Be sure to note food, calorie, water, sleep recommendations and log (can use www.cronometer.com or similar) your food/drink intake, at least for the first few months to get used to what you need to eat to stay on target calorie wise as well as macronutrient (carbs:fat:protein) wise. Even if someone is a long time, established, raw vegan, it is possible to discover some things using "hard-data"; spot trends, be able to make good adjustments, that might not be possible otherwise.
