Since having a third surgery to remove tumors from my abdominal area in December 2017, I've been struggling to maintain a healthy weight. I was struggling before the surgery, but the struggle is worse than ever now. A couple of years ago, I was being trained by a figure model who had me eating mostly animal proteins, 5-6 times per day, some green vegetables, very little fruit, and protein shakes. I looked great but felt terrible (e.g., I suffered from digestive issues) and I can't help but wonder if eating all that animal protein causes the tumors to reoccur...or perhaps the tumors reoccur because I didn't stick to a mostly organic diet (and wild seafood...). Doctors do not know why my tumors keep growing back, they're just ready to "fix" the issue with surgery. I've never been vegan for a significant amount of time and love to cook (e.g., seafood), which is why I may not be accepted into this forum. However, for my health and energy, I'm willing to try vegan. It would be nice to look healthy on the outside AND be healthy on the inside simultaneously. I'm trying to identify a way of eating that is best for me. A high animal protein diet is not for me though it seems to work for some people I know, at least externally. I know Quick Weight Loss Center diet, here in the States, is not for me - diet comprises more supplements than food it seems and the supplements upset my stomach (though this is another diet that worked for someone I know - she lost 50 Lbs and looks great, but I don't know how she feels...she seems deprived because she's basically living on mostly supplements..) Lastly, I want to try starting a family soon and want to be as healthy as possible before getting pregnant. If I'm lucky enough to get pregnant, I want to maintain healthy eating habits (and exercise) throughout the pregnancy.

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
I'm a fan of fiction (for example, I have a collection of classic books which includes A Tale of Two Cities and Grimm's Fairy Tales), but am currently reading non-fiction books focused on having a positive mindset (The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and You are a Badass at Making Money). Additionally, I recently read a couple of books by Dr. Joel Fuhrman about healthy eating, for example, to prevent cancer.
We recommend you purchase Freelee's ebook "Go fruit Yourself!". It is a must-read for newbies to the high carb raw vegan lifestyle.

I need help identifying a way of eating that doesn't require me to eat tons of animal protein to look great, ensures I have a healthy digestive system, gives me tons of energy, and hopefully, prevents tumors from re-occurring. I've especially grown weary of the idea that eating high levels of animal protein and consuming protein shakes is the only way to build muscle or look toned...and the idea that eating a lot of fruit is bad because fruit contains "too much sugar". It just doesn't seem logical. I even heard a former coworker state that eating a banana is just as bad as eating a chocolate candy bar because of all the sugar. This "logic" doesn't seem reasonable to me, but it's hard to convince others that one can look figure-model quality by eating tons of fruits and veggies if you don't look like you're in the best shape...and in the meantime, people who are gobbling down steaks and protein shakes, and are barely eating any fruit, look terrific (but who knows how healthy they are on the inside?)...it seems people who are living on high animal protein diets or who are living mostly on supplements are getting rewarded for bad behavior...at least on the outside. For the last couple of weeks, I've been eating mostly fruits and veggies and I feel pretty well on the inside. But I can do better. And I need to consistently exercise to get results. I recently fell down the stairs at my house and really didn't know how to exercise around the injuries. However, I feel better at the moment. I'm eager to try a high carb vegan diet (sounds like a dream!!) and get back to the gym on a consistent basis.

I just heard a doctor on a popular talk show say that we should restrict intake of fruit - eat little of it because it can cause weight gain due to sugar content.  Ironically, she didn't look all that slim herself.  She should meet Freelee :-)  

I've heard statements like this below and it's very confusing when "experts" are telling people that eating fruit is almost as bad as eating candy (the particular doctor I saw on TV today didn't say this, but I've heard "experts" say…
