Does any one know any information of eating wild rice and quinoa ? is it good to soak or cook them and eat if you are not able to have fruit??
apparently wild rice is not rice but a seed??

hey,
any rice is going to be a grain, wild rice is simply not as refined; therefore being more nutritious.
quinoa is a seed and is quite high in protein (14%) and has all 8 essential amino acids like most whole plant foods. The only trick with quinoa is that you need to soak/rinse before cooking because the seed has a coating called saponin which is slightly toxic if not washed off.
If you can't get fruit sugar grains are ok but a little rought on the digestive system. quiona is better but also potatoes are great, steamed or boiled.
Whole plant foods are always going to be the best, but sometimes you just have to make do and its good to have a back-up plan.
