May 19, 2010 I hit rock bottom or my top weight of 420 lbs. I was in such pain that I even had trouble relaxing to sleep. I decided to do something so I did research online and found fatfreevegan and Eat to Live. I started the Eat to Live program and it transitioned into high raw. My first week I lost 11 lbs and felt alive. I stayed on this path until the end of Oct. 2010 and released 80 lbs. Then the abundance of fruits was not so great and the birthdays and holidays came I fell off my path. High fat, high sugar, nothing healthy junk is my drug of choice. Since the end of Jan. 2011 I have been trying to get back on a path to better health. I have had many bumps on my journey this time. I started using to many high fat raw foods and in return it didn't help my cravings for cooked food it just made them worse. This weekend I started feeling the build up of fluid on my ankles and knees and started looking for more answers as to what I can do to eat until satisfied, not be restricted on the amount, still release weight, and not crave the SAD food. I started watching videos on youtube and Dan McDonald mentioned ya'll in one of his videos. I also read about the 80 10 10 on incredible smoothies. Yesterday I went out got everything I needed to stock my kitchen and feed myself, so May 2, 2011 is the start to a new chapter of my road to recover from addiction to the SAD way of eating. I'm looking forward to learning more from each and everyone of you who has been doing this journey for some time now.

I am here for support. I live in a home of SAD eaters and at this time they are not willing or interested in changing their way of eating. Since I am the wife and mom of this group of SAD eaters I will be surrounded with temptations daily.

Should I really be eating 6760 calories a day???

I completed my first week of 811. My son noticed that my mood is more balanced and that I'm not all over the place with it. My SIL and MIL both said I looked much better on Sunday then I had looked the week before. Oh wow, okay I don't use chronometer but I hear that is by far the best one.  I use nutridiary which may not be any better since it's based on mainstream cooked food ideas too.  


Something else to go by which I couldn't find the info. before but just found it.  "Minimal daily carbohydrate needs = bodyweight in kilos x 10 grams of carbs x 4 calories per gram"
