My name is Salima i´m on this lifestyle since 3 month now.
i´m recovering from anorexia.
when i first came to this lifestyle i was like a raw vegan the "fullyrawkristinaway", then i incorporated cooked veggies and fell back into the calorie restrictio circle and now sice about 3 month i m smashing in the carbs eating totally guiltfree and gaining weight (i had to cause i almost died from my underweight and malnourishment and heart failure. also i first gained weight and then when i calorie restricted again lost some so my phyisician wanted to put me into "traditional" ed recovery but i didnt wanted that cause i don´t want to gain weight but health wich in my case means some healthy weight i think and the recovery center wouldnt have allowed me to be hccv or even vegan and every time i´d eat animal product i´d just feel soooo miserabe because of all the f****** cruelty ppl. do to animals. and i remember when i was in hospital because i was endangered to die cause of heart failure they forced me to drink milk cause of the "healthy protein" (sry but some nurses really are stupid as ****) and even if i told them that i was lactose intolerant they "forced" me to drink my "daily milk" and guess what happened i ended up with diarrhea and vomiting blood....
Due to less money potatoes are my staple with some dates,apples,oranges and raspberries here and there
somedays i can go fullyraw but not that often and it´s pretty hard to get in enough calories than cause my doctor told me that i have to get in at least 3600+ kcal 4000+ would be better to cure my metabolic damage....
well i think this got a lil´long haha
so bottomline:
i´m on this lifestyle to save the animals the environment my body and help improve or save the world
ps. if this way of living/eating wouldn´t exist i think i would seriously be dead now! i think cause of todays society it´s almost impossible to ot become eating disordered in any way but this lifestyle defietly is the solution i mean imagine all ppl. who are struggeling with an ed on this lifestyle dont know but think there wouldn´t be many ed ppl. anymore how awesome would that be?
so smash in the carbs!!!

Today i finally came to the conclusion, that the "calories in vs. calories out" theory counts too for the high carb vegan lifestyle,  BECAUSE expending calories doesn´t neccesarily mean that you´re working out like crazy or so, it simply means that your body "wastes" energy in any kind of way and cause if you eat like for e.g. 4500 kcal a day but only require 2500 that day what does your body do with those excess carb calories ? exactly: it BURNS them off through dietary thermogenesis, which…

The reason some people gain weight on starches

The reason you might gain some weight after eating starches is that starch contains a lot of insoluble fiber (for eg. a potatoes fiber consists of 52 % insoluble fiber) wich makes you bind water and fat so you might look puffier and heavier, eventhough you didn´t gain an ounce of fat, cause water weighs more than fat.
