the supermarket I frequent has Figs now. I don't want to sound too sheltered, but I've never had them any hints,suggestions? Do the fit into this lifestyle?

I've been waxing and waning for a couple weeks, 50-75% LFRV, sorting out which fruits and veggies set best with me, the timing and convenience factors. I do good with 2-4 bananas for breakfast. (I don't go to bed until 3-4a, working 3-1130p and going to gym after work, and wake up around 10-11a). then when I get to work I stop for some tomatoes, red pepper and cucumber (and cut them up in my Med Room/Man Cave). and the rest of the day goes well with cantelop, bananas, dates, and prunes. OK, where have you all been hiding these things? I bought/ate my first dates today, and between these and Prunes it will be easier to deal with things at work. My Bosses and coworkers think I'm going Nuts with the volume of fresh veg/fruit I'm bringing to work. I'm grateful that I have my Med Room/Man Cave to cut/clean everything for my shift.

I've been trying to go Vegitarian and lose weight for the last 10 years. I'm 56, 6'3" and 278# (having lost from 325# last summer whil;e trying the Raw Food diet). I work 3-11p shift, I go to gym for 30-60 min (or more) at least 5 times/wk. I tried starting this a week ago but my blood glucose gradually (but significantly) decreased of the 3 day trial run. I have since spoken to my Doc (I'm a Nurse, hence we make the worst patients) and have a plan for decreasing my diabetic…

How is it going? Are you having difficulty finding time to eat at work? I know I do.....I cant remember the last time I had a real lunch instead of eating while I chart. Good luck and keep us posted.
