So hubby likes to go out to eat once a week and I'm tired of paying $8-$10 for a salad of iceburg lettuce and not much else. Strike 2 is he doesn't want me bringing my own bag of fruit/veggies for the chef to prepare.
This has been working for me: I prepare my salad dressing before hand and bring it in a few small rubbermaid containers. I also pack a ziploc bag of raisins, dates and maybe some chopped apple.

For those that don't know I was raw vegan, cooked vegan of vegetarian most of my adult lie (now in my 40's) but the last yr because of a series of events, 2 celiacs diagnosed in my immediate family (son and hubby) we all went paleo.
