"Hey there Nikki. What I would definitely recommend is getting at least 2500 in daily. What might help is blending at least one of your meals, or having at least one of your meals consisting of one fruit (monomial) to it'd go down much easier.…"

In 2009, my doctor gave me some devastating news about my health. It was the wake-up call I needed to take control of my health and my life.
Its actually taken that long to regain my health again. I feel this lifestyle will also help me be more athletic, creative and generous.

How can I eat 2500 calories?! My major failing point is feeling full at 1500calories and stuffed at 1900 and sick if I have any more than that. Then when I actually do manage to get 2500 calories, I always seem to end up exercising for hours and burning hundreds if not a thousand calories in a day. :( tough balance to achieve. But i'm not giving up any time soon!

I'm happy to share my experience with you.

Well I have been studying via correspondence with a college in Brisbane. That has turned out to be a bad idea since I have realised how hard it is to be disciplined and stick to the program.

There is a lot of conflicting information in the ciriculum but it forces you to look at your own theories, clarify them and learn what current science supports. If anything it has reinforced my beliefs.

Just go in expecting to be met with criticism and skepticism and you will be fine. Remember by being a shining example you also have the chance to shift your classmates paradimes. I always reminded myself that I'm using the sytem to change the system :)
Your words and advice hold alot more weight In this world when you have a peice of paper!

Personally I have decided to can my correspondence studies and continue on campus at a Sydney College once I complete the fitness course (another BS industry! My class mates are blown away by my diet and lifestyle) I am currently studying. You can't beat a classroom environment for such complex topics like Nutrition etc.

To get started. Be sure to note food, calorie, water, sleep recommendations and log (can use www.cronometer.com or similar) your food/drink intake, at least for the first few months to get used to what you need to eat to stay on target calorie wise as well as macronutrient (carbs:fat:protein) wise. Even if someone is a long time, established, raw vegan, it is possible to discover some things using "hard-data"; spot trends, be able to make good adjustments, that might not be possible otherwise.
