Hey my name is Nicole and I'm a personal trainer from Adelaide, South Australia.
I come from a elite sporting background where I calorie restricted on and off for about 6-7 years. I competed nationally and internationally in Taekwondo, which is a sport that requires you to weigh in before fighting. It's an advantage to be in a lighter weight category so most fighters (including myself) would pretty much fast several days to even a week before weighing in, which was then following by a huge binge to get fuel back in before fighting the next day. As a result I've suffered from amenorrhea for about 4 years now. I became vegan about a year ago and believe going high carb low fat will be the next step on my journey to heal myself.

To get started. Be sure to note food, calorie, water, sleep recommendations and log (can use www.cronometer.com or similar) your food/drink intake, at least for the first few months to get used to what you need to eat to stay on target calorie wise as well as macronutrient (carbs:fat:protein) wise. Even if someone is a long time, established, raw vegan, it is possible to discover some things using "hard-data"; spot trends, be able to make good adjustments, that might not be possible otherwise.
