I watched the movie Forks Over Knives in November 2012 and decided to become vegan for the health and longevity of a plant based diet. Since then I have been doing more research into what foods are the best to eat. Around May/June 2013 I discovered some videos by Freelee on YouTube then DurianRider. What they were saying about fruit made sense. Previously I would have grabbed 1 banana to eat during the day, but why not have many more? So I increased my fruit intake slowly and my energy and happiness levels increased drastically. I am currently following the Raw Till 4 program and hope to one day be all raw. I'm so glad I found this site and the Facebook pages. Everyone is extremely helpful and supportive.

I need fruit buying advice and storage advice. Also dinner advice would be great, right now I eat rice, heated veggies, beans, potatoes, or pasta with tomato sauce

To get started. Be sure to note food, calorie, water, sleep recommendations and log (can use www.cronometer.com or similar) your food/drink intake, at least for the first few months to get used to what you need to eat to stay on target calorie wise as well as macronutrient (carbs:fat:protein) wise. Even if someone is a long time, established, raw vegan, it is possible to discover some things using "hard-data"; spot trends, be able to make good adjustments, that might not be possible otherwise.
