I'm a runner, and I fully adopted the 80/10/10 diet just a week ago for the rest of my life! I got tired of having ups and downs during my training and so I became motivated enough to pretty much go cold-turkey even though I did eat a great deal more fruit than the average person; but the transition and detox hasn't been too bad other than intaking enough calories! I adopted it in order to improve running recovery and performance as well as it being clearly the right choice for the planet and the people around you! I joined this site because I'm pretty much the only vegan I know let alone going raw and low-fat so I look forward to getting to know people on this site and getting some tips here and there!

Not much! Only one and a half issues have popped up. 1. Fueling up correctly for runs: I've basically stuck to just water fruits like watermelons and grapes but sometimes while running I'll feel like I'm "hungry" running on an empty stomach and so I begin to feel somewhat weak in a neuro-muscular sense, so my question is really what's usually the best food for pre-fueling? Is it individual?
The half issue is my detox! The first 3-4 days were only somewhat tough but I only suffered from some light cravings, difficulty sleeping and some really subtle headaches. I expected it to be worse considering what I've eaten in the past, and that although I do feel better, I don't yet feel vibrant! Is it possible that the detox will take a more long-ranged effect? Would it perhaps be necessary to do a single-fruit-diet for a few days, or do some fasting?

Hey! Welcome to 30bad! I saw that you're a runner and that you don't know any other vegans. Haha, that sounds like me. To learn about fueling yourself for running you should check out Durianriders channel or the Fruitarian channel (Michael Arnstein). They have a lot of experience in running.
