So I finally made the life changing decision, or so it seems to be life changing (at least for me) to go vegan, and raw to boot! This is after suffering from a load of health issues mostly related…Continue

I'm Mel. I'm 29 years old and my existence for the last 5 years has been pretty rough. During the last 2 years I've been extremely unhealthy physically, emotionally... and I want that to change now. I NEED IT to change! So I'm here after finding a few YouTube videos that really spoke to me and that I could relate to. I have MS so I'm hoping that if I could get healthy again a lot of my symptoms may calm down.

Since getting married last summer and working on renovating our home on the inside, I'm now focusing on planning and hopefully planting my own vegetable garden. If you have any tips please pass them along!
Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan and vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
I moved down here to the US from Canada in late 2011, and to be honest I've not been able to set a support team here. First it was a very demanding job and now it's that I'm simply lacking A LOT of energy to get out there and meet new people. So I'm hoping this website along with YouTube will help me stay healthy through this new phase of life.

Haha, CASE CLOSED. Processed fast "food" (I wouldn't really call it food) SUCKS.
LOL! Yes look forward to it! Its like you put salt on everything, but you didn't. haha its awesome! I have never tasted avocado so delicious, or celery so salty until I transitioned! The longer you stay on this the better it is! The whole "you are what you eat" is so true. Your body breaks down your food then it uses some of its components to make new parts of you! We will be plantalicious in no time!
Its so nice to have a friend on here! It can feel really lonely when you are the only one around you doing this. No one likes to go in alone :)
You're lucky you have a whole food distributer around you! I get all my stuff from the grocery store, still good stuff, just more expensive. Which leads me to say I saw papayas in the store today!! Definitely getting them on tuesday cause its student discount day!
You went to western? My friend is going to western next year! Such a small world. and don't you worry I have a whole box of ripe bananas, grapes and kiwis hanging around my desk so there is no temptation for processed s#*$! My first exam is on monday so I have plenty of time. Just been listening to my classical music and making up my notes!
You should definitely try listening to a classical music playlist. It makes me so happy! Without being distracting.
Anywho, hope you had a good weekend, have a good monday! :)
ps. Have you read the 811 book yet? I would also suggest you follow freelea on youtube! She posts the most useful and awesome stuff.
I bet that was sooooo HARD! Especialy because everyone was probably like talking about how good it was. But did you look at how they felt after that? They probably went and had to lie down because they were so tired. You didn't cave though, thats a HUGE step!! It took me a while to finally transition. I was vegan for just over a year before, and HFRV for a while too. It would be so hard to go right to HCRV so you are doing amazing.
The longer you stay on this lifestyle the better things taste. Honestly, its amazing. Your tastebuds regenerate around every 14 days so keep going! You will taste the rainbow soon! And you won't even think about salt. :)
DO NOT worry about too many carbs. It is not a thing. I ate just over 4000 calories the other day. I am 5'8 140 pounds and haven't gained anything! A lot of people will post on here , that they find that the more carbs they eat, the more they loose. So don't worry! This is the lifestyle of ABUNDANCE, I have given up all of my calorie counting and so should you! Just make sure that you are always getting enough :)
I'm doing great! Haha It's exams right now so I will be studying for two weeks straight now... WOO. But I just found out I can get bananas really cheap at my local grocer so I was pretty excited about that!
Doesn't that feel good??? Youre outside always reflects your inside, you will be even more beautiful then you already are in no time :)
Ya the more people you build up the less likely you are going to fall off the wagon! Try posting on a group for your state, maybe there are some raw vegans around you! And if you ever come around guelph area you are welcome to come visit :)
I was gonna organize a raw food picnick in the summer ! I think it would be so fun to meet a bunch of like minded people around here!
Hope you're having a good day so far :)
ps make an account on chronometer.com to track all your ratios :)
Haha this website is awesome eh?? And my switch is actually going really well. The only times that it becomes hard is when there is not enough food around. So make sure to stock up! And when I say stock up I mean like two boxes of bananas (if you ask the grocery store 99% of the time they will give you a deal) order some boxes of dates, oasisdate.com sells organic dates (I heard its really good if you blend them with water and berries [but not strawberries]). and make sure to get lots of your favourite fruit!
ALSO I would suggest reading Freeleas book and Megan Elizabeth's book as they are both AWESOME.
How is your first couple days going? Are you LOVING it or what?? :D
