Hello 30BaD. My name is Max. I live in Michigan, USA, although I haven't been here all my life, and moved here only a few years ago.
What brings me to 30 bananas a day? the same reason as anyone else, vegan-ism, community support, hunger for knowledge and guidance.
I have been vegan since the summer 2012, so only a few months now, and I love it, probably one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Honestly, never thought that I would ever become vegan, but as they say, "never say never", eh...
as probably everyone else, I used to think that vegans and vegetarians are weird and eat nothing but salads all day. silly, right? everyone used to be ignorant about the subject, as so was I.
I can't say that some sickness pushed me to research vegan-ism, I was always the healthiest kid at home and amongst my friends, regularly visited gym, and so on; still had some issues with gaining wait though when I would fall of the wagon of gym routine due to school or whatever other reasons, which was pretty frustrating, but I never thought it was due to the diet.
nevertheless I was always very interested in health and fitness, used to think that I knew a lot (obviously I didn't).
what triggered my research and the journey to vegan-ism is the movie "Forks Over Knives". It's funny because I heard about it from one of my co-workers at a time, who was obese and had diabetes, he was still a very nice guy. We were talking about health and nutrition one day, and at some point he mentioned that humans actually don't even need meat or dairy at all. as usually I laughed it off and tried to dismisses his claims, not too successfully. he advised me to watch "FoK" and see it to myself. I don't normally take advices on nutrition and health from overweight people, but I did take a look at the movie, took me a while to find it, lucky for me it was free on hulu.com. that movie really "lighted a candle", so to speak. after watching it, and few other movies on the same topic, I started researching vegan-ism. I started bumping into the big names that were present in FoK, like John Mcdougall, Caldwell Esselstyn, Neal Barnard, etc. and their works. watched some of their lectures for vegetarian society of Hawaii.
needless to say, I couldn't ignore their message, it was just so strong, so by the end of the summer I just decided to stop eating meat all together, and it didn't take me long to ditch the dairy as well.
my parents didn't understand it at first, but eventually they had to, because I wasn't going to back down.
although there was a time when I fell off the wagon a few months ago due to stress in college (was practically feeding myself peanut butter jelly sandwiches all day, and ending up eating a few chicken soups not realizing what I was doing), I am on track and going pretty strong.
I actually at one point tried to convince my parents to try vegan diet. my mom was the biggest success so far, although she isn't vegan, she practically eat very little meat, and doesn't consume any dairy; unfortunately my father doesn't believe in vegan-ism, keeps making same "meat eaters'" arguments, and it's really sad, because he is a really smart man, very active, and all together great person, but he keeps destroying his health, and I can see it more and more as time goes by.

the other reason that brings me here is simply because it was for a little while now that I have followed Durianrider and Freelee on You Tube. their videos really help. I've went through lots of health channels, some were alright, other not so much, but I found 30BaD crew to be most helpful, their message and videos feel like a breath of fresh air among the cloud of bulls*** that is going on in health movement.
I should probably wrap it up, cause I already said too much, haha.

Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan and vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
ammm, I don't really know what kind of assistance to ask for since I don't really know what can be provided. I am just beginning to switch to more fruit based diet from starch rich diet, so probably will need tips for that. I would like to be able to participate in forum discussions. that's it for now, if I come up with anything else, I am sure there would be a way to let you guys know ;)
30bad is a fruit-focused vegan internet community which promotes a high carb fruit based vegan lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to this. Nor do we allow endorsement of non-vegan items or practises which involve the imprisonment, exploitation, abuse or murder of sentient beings. We also require our members to post with proper netiquette. Therefore, please indicate your intention:

I love youtube a lot. It is, pretty much, my #1 favorite website (don't worry 30BAD, you are my #2 ;D). I don't watch television at all or very rarely, youtube is much better entertainment (plus i don't have to wait through bulls*** commercials, that promote lifestyle that I despise and ads for meds to deal with consiquenses of that lifestyle, every 5 minutes)

Recently I have watched a few videos by a channel named "VeganAtheist". I've stumbled upon it several times in the past, but…

high carb family scandals x( battle between anorexic mindsets(parents) and HCLFV mentality (me)

all of us have parrents and families. They can be really frustraiting and opinionated in a bad way. Well...my parents are not an exception and i feel like i need to rant about it. (Btw my parents know that i'm vegan, my mom is one too)

I gotta tell something about myself first.

I am 21 years old. I am still living in my parrents house. I love my parents but they frustrate me immensely sometimes, especially my out shape step-father (who is generaly a very smart man, but an…

Personal HCRV blog: week 2 recap

Posted on June 18, 2013 at 5:30am 0 Comments

I gotta admit, it takes some strength to stay high carb raw vegan for a hundred percent throughout the week. especially right now, for me at least, with having to attend parties and such social gatherings, I am pretty much doomed to have some cooked food. Fortunately, that is the case mostly for weekends. Didn't do too bad on Saturday (had friend's grad party), had a little bit of bread, some hummus, and like one veg bean burger, and tones of fruit and vegetables.

feeling great so…

Personal HCRV blog: week 1 recap

Posted on June 11, 2013 at 12:40pm 2 Comments

As much as I tried to stay on raw high carb for 100%, I couldn't; had some business up north of state, so had to leave home for the weekend and eat some high carb starchy cooked foods as an alternative. But I am back home now and back in the HCRV wagon.

Feel pretty good, definitely noticing the difference while exercising. Unfortunately, I haven't had a single salad yet. mistake on my part, still a little bit lazy, gotta get my ass out to the kitchen for more than just 5 min to make…

Hi Maxim! Thank you for the note. I really appreciate that sooo much. Im still figuring out how to use the site and it is more tricky on my silly phone. So, I'm not even sure if this will be sent as a private message or on your wall. Doesn't matter either way I suppose. Anyway, :-). I do drink almond milk. It is the blasted cheese what is worst for me. Also pasta, the unhealthy kind :-/. Those 2 are my only weaknesses but I'll keep working on them! Promise. Thanks again! Take care and write any time. I am here for you too! :-D Your friend, Jess~ <3
