I've been playing with raw food for about 8 years now, never quite able to get it right. Digestive trouble, inflammation, depression, candida symptoms, and trouble skin just wasn't getting any better no matter what I did. I recently started take 80/10/10 seriously after hearing about it over the years, it makes so much sense, and I have found it so much easier to implement. I have now been following HCRV for about a month for most of my days, but that last few hours of the day has been my struggle so I'm coming here for community and support :)

I am doing really well most of the day with HCRV, I have been charting my intake and my ratios are spot on, but as soon as the evening rolls around, I have a hard time sticking to the diet. Because of this I have been experiencing some bathroom detox, constantly, for almost a month now. I understand now how high fat my diet was before and my liver is probably flushing out as well... I guess I need help with eating later in the day and knowing that my detox symptoms are normal for someone in transition :)

Here's a little update; last weekend I was away with a group of SAD eaters, and I managed to keep things relatively balanced. Actually, it was easier than I thought it would be.

First of all, it's key to bring more bananas than you alone might plan on eating. Seriously.

Staying Above 2500

That's my goal for the month of September - and ongoing... staying above 2500 calories.

Learning very quickly that planning out the food for my whole day while I'm carbed up in the morning is key. Also, having a variety of foods around so that I can satisfy any cravings that arise.

Wow - I can't believe it's been four months since I last posted.

Well, I'm back.

I love to treat September like the start of a new year. This summer ran pretty smooth for me, both with diet and activity, but I still find myself struggling to eat enough without having to track my food.
