Has anyone ever tried vacuum sealing smoothies in mason jars for consumption later in the day?  How long would they hold up?  It sure would make things a lot easier on me when I'm away from home.Continue

I came across an article about depression and curing it with raw foods. My whole life I've been what I consider to be mildly depressed, so this article got my attention. Right away I started learning about raw veganism from various web sites, podcasts, videos, movies and books. I tried and failed a few times to go raw, mainly because my job was hectic and I was using that as an excuse to why I couldn't make the change. Fortunately I quit my job and started working for myself, eliminating that excuse. And after my last day of work with my old employer I made it a point to watch Earthlings for the first time (thinking it would help me move closer to becoming raw vegan). This was on 7/1/11 and half way into the movie I proclaimed myself vegan. About two weeks later I made the jump to raw and have been raw ever since. I have been through struggles and have experienced quit a bit but I still have much to learn and experience. I do know that I absolutely love this lifestyle and how it has transformed every part of my life though. I am a completely different person feeling better than I've ever felt my whole life. And I'm very grateful for this community. :)

Hey, i really like to thank you for your post! I am definitaly going to read the book. I have immediately read a summary of it and this absolutely one of the best thing to do. The title of this book has always been attractive to me but i forgot that i wanted to read it. So thanks for reminding me of it. Some times I lived unconsiously following these principals but i had some kind of fall-backs... I saw you come from a depressive background which reminds me also to my background and motivates me to stay tuned. I understand the coherence between being undercarbed and being depressed. You also like conversations with god. Have you read the whole trilogy? Love
