30 years old and ready to be a lean bean! :) This way of eating is new to me. I have come from a struggled binge and purge meat eating background. I have looked into becoming Vegan for several years but always got scared off by stories people told me about how being vegan or raw was not good for you... I decided to investigate it properly for myself! I have read and listened to your b/vlogs and am convinced this way of eating would be good for me. I have started reading the 80 10 10 book and am shocked at what I used to eat and how it effected my body!

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
I love being outdoors, walking, swimming, art, history, reading, drawing, being out on the motorbike, being with my friends and family, designing and trying to make jewellery. I love the art and literature of the Medieval and Renaissance period, also anything from 1920-1940 also Architecture and design of these periods. I visit exhibitions regularly :)

I think I would like some help with the nutritional guidance, of what the body needs and help me to dispel myths about potatoes and fruit sugar! Also about how much fat the body really needs etc. I am planning on doing Rawtil4 with 1 day as wholly raw. It's difficult for me to do only one cooked meal a day at the weekend as my other half and I go touring on the motorbike which usually involves lots of cafe/pub stops. I have been taking bunches of bananas and apples in a rucksack with me but am finding that i'm eating 2 cooked LF vegan meals on sat and sun. Hopefully this won't hinder me too much in the beginning as I'm looking to focus on health and happieness and let the rest progress naturally :)

One whole year Anniversary of being a HCLF Vegan :)

So I migh not always have been on this site everyday but I can now say with pride that for every day in the past year I have followed a HCLF vegan lifestyle :) Im actually really proud of myself!

Day 21...Sleepy but Awake!

Well the last couple of days have been an odd one, I hadn't been sleeping very well the past two weeks and so taking everyone's advice I began to eat more carbs to get some more sleep in..I was averaging 3 hours a night, now I'm getting about 6, which is still not enough but it's getting better! So now I am dealing with feeling as sleepy as I did when I first started out on this lifestyle 2 months ago. Not just in the afternoons, I'm still sleepy when I wake up, get sleepy mid morning and…


Day 19 - Light and happy :)

So I had a lovely weekend in the Lake District, lots of fresh air, fruit and veg. I managed to do quite a bit of walking and did 2 sessions of kick boxing aaaaand had a snooze in the sunshine :D  Also I visited my favourite organic fruit and veg co-op to get stocked up for the week ahead.


This week I am feeling rested...finally and quite good! I took everyone's advice and tried to get more carbs in, especially on the days where I am exercising so that I can sleep…

Mmmm i just finished eating my evening salad of greens and it was sooo good! :)

My stash is from the wholesalers on Edge lane Liverpool.

You're in luck though because there is an amazing wholesalers in Manchester called unicorn. Google that shiz! It is all organic too, which is even better :)

Im having the same problem, getting my carbs in during the work day is difficult. But anything worth having takes hard work, including good health. Also, I am learning to pound calories in the morning. I find that dates and bananas are good for on-the-go food. I order my dates online (the food, not the single girls ;)). Also, as durianrider always says, those that matter dont mind, those that mind dont matter.
