My name is Fabrizio and I'm very attracted to the idea of LFRV/HCRV.
I have only been raw vegan since last year, but I have already phased out most of my kitchen. Even so, I found that I was still graviting towards what I thought were "healthy" cooked foods and having trouble really feeling sated. I was even considering joining a farm coop and going semi vegetarian! I would really like to put my omnivore days behind me as I have sworn off meat and don't want to compromise with the illusion of "happy eggs and milks"; I don't buy it.
There is a lot of conflicting information and the scientific method is too exacting and often ill equiped to objectively look at diets as a whole. It likes to focus in on small things like fructose ... an evil disaccharide, right? Just as bad as alcohol?
Well, luckily, I study nutrition both at school AND during my free time, so I was able to salvage my relationship with fruit and fructose. I began to really look into practising vegans and not just studies of veganism; people who've DONE the legwork and what they've accomplished. I am really inspired by 30BaD and have learned loads about LFRV just from the FAQs page. I am starting to incorporate some of the principles already ... congradulations on getting an Italian boy to give up garlic and onions!!

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
Past times: reading, watching docs, weight training, fudging around in the kitchen, long walks in the woods, sun worshipping.
Books: Nutrtion ANYTHING, fantasy (Anthony, Lewis, Goodkind, Brooks, Tolkien, Brust, etc), autiobiographies (McCourt, Jessop, Love, Dahmer, etc) philosophy, religious/esoteric (Nag Hammadi, tarot, feng shui, etc), some sci fi (Asimov), and probably any other old book you leave laying around.
Movies: Documentaries galore. Love big impact movies. Big classics like The Colour Purple, American Beauty, and the like. Love comedies ... I don't believe anything is sacred.

I like to learn how to plan my diet and what the do's and don'ts are. Up until this point I had been a gourmet raw foodist, so I need to learn what my new arsenal of ingredients will be.
