Throughout college, I struggled to maintain my balance in a hectic life of honors classes, internships, sports, etc., and turned to an eating disorder as a means of controlling my environment. After three years of attempting every crash diet out there, I realized: I don't need to starve myself to feel clean and whole on the inside...I just need to eat clean, living foods that have the nutrients I need to accomplish everything I want to do in my life. I have always felt that fresh fruits and vegetables give me their energy and vibrancy, and that I am able to best use this energy when I am giving my body enough food to keep up with my demanding life. I now have a much more serene relationship with the food I eat and am able to meet the challenges of my life with a clear, open mind. I am a proud vegan and fruit fanatic, and am looking to share my joy of a cruelty-free diet with others!

To get started. Be sure to note food, calorie, water, sleep recommendations and log (can use www.cronometer.com or similar) your food/drink intake, at least for the first few months to get used to what you need to eat to stay on target calorie wise as well as macronutrient (carbs:fat:protein) wise. Even if someone is a long time, established, raw vegan, it is possible to discover some things using "hard-data"; spot trends, be able to make good adjustments, that might not be possible otherwise.
